Justitia Lab and Kilos Ko Youth, through Kape at Konstitusyon, brought together legal scholars, students, journalists, advocates, civil society leaders, and engaged citizens for a meaningful dialogue.

Through discussions on constitutional governance, international law, democratic accountability, human rights, and the role of the media, participants deepened their understanding of the legal principles that underpin public institutions and reaffirmed the importance of informed civic participation in safeguarding the rule of law.

As every cup of coffee sparked fresh perspectives and every conversation inspired critical thinking, we moved one step closer to building a more informed, participatory, and accountable society. Here's to many more dialogues that bridge law and the public, and inspire citizens to take an active role in strengthening democracy!

Meet the distinguished panel speakers and moderator of 𝗞𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻: 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝘄.

𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗲 is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law & Justice of the University of New South Wales Sydney. Prior to commencing her PhD studies, she lectured at the University of the Philippines College of Law and the Ateneo de Manila University. She is licensed to practice law in the Philippines and admitted into the List of Assistants to Counsel of the International Criminal Court, one of a handful Filipino lawyers accredited by the court and the youngest so far.

𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼 is a professor of Constitutional Law at the Ateneo Law School. During the pandemic, Atty. Camacho obtained his Masters in Public Policy with Distinction at the University of Cambridge and thereafter served as a Policy Adviser for the UK Government's National Infrastructure Commission. A public policy specialist, Atty. Camacho previously served as policy consultant for the ADB and World Bank, and is currently advising the Philippine Government on strategic policy priorities as Senior Manager of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.

𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗮 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗮𝗰 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗮ñ𝗼𝗹 is a fourth-year Journalism student at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He is a part-time staff for Pinoy Weekly and a correspondent for Manila Standard. His reporting focuses on labor, education, social movements, and community issues. His research interests include media studies, conflict reporting, peace journalism, and alternative media in the Philippines.

𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗝𝘆𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘂 is a lawyer currently serving with the Bureau of International Trade Relations of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry. His work focuses on international trade law and policy and economic diplomacy. This includes negotiating in bilateral and multilateral trade negotiations such as the Philippines-European Union Free Trade Agreement, ASEAN, and the WTO. He also conducts legal analysis of trade agreements, and the development of Philippine positions on emerging global trade issues.

Justitia Lab was honored to serve as a partner of the Manila Adventist College – School of Law and Jurisprudence’s first-ever Lex Ball held in May 31, 2026.

We extend our congratulations to the Amantes Est Legis Student Society for successfully organizing this milestone event, spearheaded by Grem Lou, the outgoing President of the Society and a valued member of Justitia Lab’s Legal Affairs Committee.

We also express our sincere gratitude to Dean Tranquil Salvador III and the Amantes Est Legis Student Society for the invitation and warm welcome.

During the event, Atty. Marielle Ramacola, the Co-Founder of Justitia Lab, introduced its advocacies, programs, and initiatives to the Manila Adventist College law student community.

After six months in hiding, Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa resurfaced in the Senate, only to go back into hiding once again. Throughout this entire period, he was afforded due process and every opportunity to challenge the proceedings against him, including his most recent request for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO), which was ultimately denied.

This stands in contrast to the thousands who were senselessly and violently killed during the drug war. What does justice mean for those left without answers?

Justitia Lab welcomes this important step toward ensuring accountability and upholding the rule of law. May this development lead to justice for the victims of the drug war, and recognition of the imperative role of the International Criminal Court in addressing human rights violations.
