The Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Award is given to an individual, office, firm or organization that has supported persons with disabilities their families, and/or organizations through care/service provision, advocacy, social action, community development, legal action and related services without receiving compensation.

Please check the criteria for this award for more information.

THE 31ST APOLINARIO MABINI AWARDS

The Apolinario Mabini Awards was launched by the Philippine Foundation for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Inc. (PFRD) in 1974 on its Silver Anniversary. The Award, now in its 50th year, aims to recognize and honor individuals, groups and agencies that have made outstanding contributions to the welfare and inclusion of persons with disabilities and to promote their wider recognition as self-respecting, self-reliant and productive members of society. Awards rites are traditionally held at Malacañang Palace with the President as the special guest.

There are no nomination fees for the awards, except the Disability Friendly Establishment Award with a processing fee of Php 3,000.00.
