The Financial Accounting for NGOs โ€“ NCR 2026 has officially ended!

Over the past days, NGO bookkeepers, accountants, and finance personnel gathered to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in nonprofit financial management. The training covered essential topics including proper bookkeeping, application of accounting methods, preparation and analysis of financial statements, and the establishment of effective internal control systems tailored to the unique operations of nonprofit organizations.

This learning initiative reflects the continuing commitment of PICPA Foundation, in partnership with PICPA and PCNC, to promote transparency, accountability, and sound financial governance in the nonprofit sector.

The Financial Accounting for NGOs training in Davao City concluded its third and final day with a recap of Day 2 facilitated by PCNC Executive Director Felix A. Tonog, reinforcing the key learning points from the previous sessions.

Participants then attended the final technical modules delivered by our resource speakers:
โ€ข Module 9: Financial Reporting and Analysis โ€“ Concepcion Rasalan-Racaza
โ€ข Module 10: Internal Control System โ€“ Michael C. Gallego

The discussions focused on the preparation and interpretation of financial statements to support sound decision-making, and on the importance of internal control systems in safeguarding organizational assets and ensuring the integrity of financial information.

The program finished in the closing ceremonies, which included the synthesis and closing message delivered by PICPA Foundation Executive Director Lo**ta Tang, the awarding of a Certificate of Appreciation to PICPA Davao, and the distribution of certificates to the participants, followed by the training evaluation.

The second day of the Financial Accounting for NGOs training in Davao City continued with participants starting the morning with an energizing warm-up activity, followed by a review of Day 1 facilitated by PCNC Executive Director Felix A. The sessions focused on proper maintenance of books of accounts, application of accrual accounting and fund accounting principles, correct classification and allocation of expenses, and accurate documentation and recording of financial transactions, including non-cash donations.

The PICPA Foundation, in partnership with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC), successfully commenced Day 1 of the Financial Accounting for NGOs training in Davao City.

The day began with arrival and registration, followed by opening ceremonies, which included the Philippine National Anthem, invocation, and Exercises, along with welcome messages from PICPA President Gerard B. Sanvictores, PICPA Foundation President Atty. Roland S. Pondoc, and the PCNC Executive Director Felix A. Tonog.

Participants then engaged in the following technical sessions presented by our distinguished resource speakers:
