80 YEARS OF PB — A LEGACY OF PHILIPPINE CULTURE IN MOTION

For 80 years, Philippine Baranggay Folk Dance Troupe has grown from humble beginnings into a living cultural journey—carrying the heartbeat of the Philippines through dance, music, tradition, and generations of storytellers.

From its first steps at Philippine Normal University to stages around the world, PB has shared the richness of Filipino heritage and inspired audiences to celebrate the stories woven into every movement. Through the performing arts, PB continues to promote, preserve, and educate, keeping our culture alive, relevant, and in motion.

As PB marks its 80th anniversary, its journey honors the past while looking to the future: to keep dancing, telling our stories, and bringing the spirit of the Philippines to the world.

80 years. One legacy. One PB Family.
Cultural legacy in motion. 🇵🇭❤️

Congratulations to the
Philippine Normal University (PNU)
125th Founding Anniversary!

Philippine Baranggay Folk Dance Troupe (PB) is deeply honored to celebrate this remarkable milestone with our beloved alma mater and home of generations of educators and cultural ambassadors.

It is especially significant for us to be back where the journey of PB was nurtured — an institution that inspired generations of PB Alumni who became teachers, carrying the mission of promoting, preserving, and sharing our Philippine cultural heritage through dance, music, and song.

PB has proudly served as a cultural ambassador of the Philippines, carrying with us the vision and legacy of our founder and director, Dr. Paz Cielo Angeles Belmonte, recipient of the Republic of the Philippines Presidential Medal of Merit and Gawad CCP Para sa Sining.

As PNU celebrates 125 years of excellence, may its legacy continue to inspire generations to teach, preserve, create, and serve through culture and the arts.

Mabuhay ang Philippine Normal University!
Mabuhay ang Philippine Baranggay!
Mabuhay ang kulturang Pilipino! 🇵🇭❤️

125 Years of Excellence. A Legacy of Education, Culture, and Service.

LYRICS

Ohhhh, Ohhhh, Ohhhh

Mga paru-parong kumukumpas
Hinihintay kong turuan tayong lumipad pataas

Ohhhh, Ohhhh, Ohhhh

Kung loloobin at mamarapatin
Di mo naman talaga kailangang pi-li-tin
Kusa lang sa pag-ka-ka-dampi
Su-sulyap sa ating hardin

Ohhhh, Ohhhh, Ohhhh

Unang Silip sa Aming Hardin 🌱

Sharing an update on our home garden + a BTS look at our music video for Hardin, our 39th Awit Awards nominee for Best Recording in World Music. 🎶

Fun fact: Both the song and music video were recorded right at home. It was a very low-budget project 🤭 but just like our garden, where every plant and every tree has its own role in making it whole. This project wouldn’t be complete without each of our amazing collaborators. Will be tagging everyone in the comments. 🥰

This Sunday po and see you there 🥰❤️🥰

🕠 5:30 n.h.
📍 Open-Air Auditorium, Rizal Park Luneta
🎤 Tagapagdaloy ng Programa: Bb. Queen Semana

Kitakits!
