More than $8.4 million returned to communities across Aotearoa in September. But the real story is what happens next.

This support reached nearly 500 organisations across many sectors of our communities..

For people today, that can mean a child getting onto the field, a whānau finding support when they need it, a learner gaining new opportunities, or a community coming together through shared spaces, activities and experiences.

For the organisations behind that mahi, it helps strengthen programmes, facilities, capability and connection, giving them greater ability to serve their communities now and into the future.

And over time, those benefits travel further. Tamariki grow up with stronger opportunities and a deeper sense of belonging. Rangatahi build confidence and connection. Whānau become stronger. Communities gain the foundations that future generations can continue to build on.

Because when we support communities today, we help create stronger communities for generations to come.

The Cardiac and Respiratory Foundation NZ is helping build healthier futures across Aotearoa by turning trusted information, education, research and advocacy into practical support for people living with heart and lung conditions.

Their new Breathe & Beat magazine brings that mahi together in an accessible resource, sharing knowledge about heart and lung health, patient experiences and the issues shaping better care.

Through this funding lens, the impact reaches far beyond one booklet. When knowledge reaches one person, it can flow through whānau, helping parents make informed choices, creating healthier environments for tamariki, giving rangatahi stronger foundations, and building communities that are better equipped to look after one another.

We’re proud to help make Breathe & Beat freely accessible, supporting knowledge that can be shared from one generation to the next.

Better knowledge today can help shape healthier whakapapa tomorrow.

Tasman Golf would like to thank Pub Charity Limited for its generous support, which has enabled us to send a team to Waikato to participate in the Boys' National Interprovincial. This support has played a vital role in our juniors being able to participate in development and playing opportunities.

We wish the boys the best of luck for the remainder of the tournament!

Growing more than a bowling green in Maungatapere.

At Maungatapere Bowling Club, a new sprinkler system might look like a practical upgrade — but its impact reaches much further than the grass beneath our feet.

A healthy, well-cared-for green helps keep the club thriving as a place where people can play, connect and belong. It gives today’s members somewhere to come together, while helping ensure the club is still here for the next generation of bowlers, volunteers and local whānau.

That’s the idea behind our funding , looking beyond what something provides today and recognising how it can strengthen the generations that follow.

When community spaces are cared for, connections grow. Knowledge and traditions are passed on. Tamariki and rangatahi see strong local clubs they can one day be part of, and whānau continue to have places where relationships and community life can flourish.

What we care for today becomes part of what our communities inherit tomorrow.
