Ngā mihi nui – we’re proud to support your amazing facilities that you provide for the community!

Thank you for shouting out load and proud our venues on the Kapiti Coast 🌟

Without them, funding support just wouldn’t be possible.

A Huge Thank You to Pub Charity!

The Kapiti Community Recreational Turf Trust would like to sincerely thank Pub Charity Limited Limited for their generous contribution towards our insurance premiums.

Insurance is one of our most significant operating costs, and this support helps us continue providing a safe, accessible, and well-maintained facility for the many schools, clubs, teams, and community groups that use our turf each year.

Team sports play an important role in the healthy development of children and young people. They help build confidence, resilience, teamwork, leadership skills, and lasting friendships, while encouraging regular physical activity and a sense of belonging within the community. By supporting our facility, Pub Charity is helping ensure local children and families have the opportunity to enjoy these benefits for years to come.

As the only full-sized hockey turf facility on the Kapiti Coast, we are incredibly grateful for this support and for Pub Charity's commitment to strengthening community sport and recreation.

Thank you for helping us keep our community active, connected, and thriving. 🏑💙

We would also like to give a special thank you to Gallagher Insurance New Zealand, who are also one of our valued signage advertising sponsors. As a community facility, we regularly review our insurance options, and Gallaghers continue to provide the most competitive commercial insurance pricing by far. Their support has helped us secure essential cover at a time when insurance costs continue to rise. We highly recommend giving Marisa a call if you would like a review of your current insurance cover.

Lastly, nothing would happen without the support of the hard working local venue providers The Jolly Pub & Kitchen Kapiti, The Pinetree Arms and Boundary Tap & Kitchen THANK YOU mainly on behalf of the Kapiti Coast Hockey Club - Juniors and Kapiti Hockey Club

Supporting Compassion Close to Home

At Pub Charity, we’re proud to support organisations that make a real difference in our communities and Rotorua Community Hospice is a shining example of care, dignity, and compassion.

Providing free, specialist palliative care to patients and their whānau, Rotorua Community Hospice ensures people facing life-limiting illness are supported every step of the way.
Their dedicated team helps individuals live well, with comfort and respect, right when it matters most.

It’s the generosity of communities—and the funds raised through venues like ours that helps make this vital service possible.

Together, we’re helping ensure no one walks this journey alone.

Restoring the Red Zone in Ōtautahi Christchurch.

🗓️ Saturday 27th June
⏰ 10am - 2pm
📍 908 Lower Styx Road, Brooklands

🌱 This planting season, our Styx Field Team and volunteers have been hard at work planting, preparing, and restoring native forest habitat across the catchment. Every seedling in the ground brings us one step closer to a healthier, more resilient future for the Styx and the ecosystems that depend on it.

🥳 This event also marks a very special milestone: the conclusion of Project Kōtare, our MFE Jobs for Nature project that began five years ago. What started as a vision to restore native habitat along the Styx is now coming full circle. This is our final push, and we want to celebrate it with the community.

Come join us and help plant the last trees of this involved with this project.

Ngā mihi to those venues in the Tasman District that helped make this funding a reality.

Thank you so much to Pub Charity Limited for kitting out the Wakey Ladies in new kit this season. Looking sharp clearly matters, as here they are in the new kit after their first win. Funding would not have been possible without the local venues that support Pub Charity. Thank you The Wakefield Hotel, Post Office Hotel Motueka, and Collingwood Tavern - Tinkys.

Fun Facts About Our Volunteers 💛

Behind every event, programme, and warm welcome at the centre is an incredible team of volunteers helping make it all happen.
Here are a few numbers we’re proud of:

⏰ An average of 68 volunteer hours contributed every month

🌏 Multicultural Festival performers generously giving their time and talent

🧹 Volunteers helping with the less glamorous but essential jobs — including rubbish collection and toilet cleaning during the festival

☕ Friendly faces supporting our weekly morning teas and community events throughout the year

🤝 Board members contributing significant volunteer hours behind the scenes every month in governance, planning, and oversight

From setting up chairs to creating unforgettable festival moments, our volunteers are the reason so much of our community work is possible.
If you’ve ever attended one of our events, enjoyed a performance, shared a cup of tea, or felt welcomed through our doors — chances are a volunteer helped make that happen.
