When you come across a knitting pattern that has both written instructions and a chart....

How to Handle "No Stitch" (NS)

When you see an NS symbol on your chart, follow these simple rules:
Ignore it:
Do not knit, purl, or slip any stitch for that square.
Skip past it: Jump straight to the next active, real stitch on the chart.
Keep going:
There is no physical gap or stitch on your needle for that box.

Another 80+ warm winter items made by members of Creative Fibre Wellington, for women in the care of Wellington Women's Refuge.

So far this year, we've made around 150 scarves, hats, rugs, socks etc as part of our area project, "Operation Brighten" - and the project continues.
