Multicultural Tauranga Multicultural Tauranga is a not-for-profit community organisation for migrants & newcomers to Aotearoa.

Our mission is to be the community hub and voice for migrant communities in the Bay of Plenty Promoting multiculturalism
by protecting the interests of many different ethnic groups which make New Zealand a multicultural society. Facilitating consultation
of national and local Government agencies with ethnic groups in Tauranga. Providing a forum
for ethnic groups to share experiences and friendship

s. Fostering mutual support
among ethnic groups to deal with issues and to speak with one voice. Protecting democratic rights
of ethnic groups to participate in decisions which affect them. Building multicultural identity
by enabling ethnic groups to openly express their commitment to New Zealand while at the same time protecting their ethnic heritage and identity. Including Tangata Whenua
in the consciousness among ethnic groups, i.e. the status of the Maori people and their rights under the Treaty of Waitangi.

The Next Community Learning hub venue is Tauranga Girl's College in the Pūwhenua block. Everyone registered for the 4th June session - please note this change as we needed a bigger space due to a higher number of registrations. Thank you for the overwhelming response from our community volunteers from the Asian Community group , Filipino community , Punjabi communtiy and Latin Community Tauranga / Comunidad Latina en Tauranga who have reached out to your communities to bring together seniors for this Project launched this year. This project has been a response to our work in the communities over the past few years identifying the need for mahi with our seniors.
