Have you dropped your older child off at school and found yourself with a little extra time on your hands with your baby or toddler?

Come along and join our playgroup at Te Puna Kindergarten!
Playgroup details:
🗓 Monday & Thursday
⏰ 9.30am – 11.30am
💲 $6 per session

Our playgroup is a relaxed and welcoming space where you can connect with other parents and whānau while your tamariki play, explore, and begin building friendships, with you right there alongside them. It is also a lovely, gentle introduction to the kindergarten environment.

We still have a few spaces available, so please feel free to share this with friends and whānau who might enjoy coming along. The kettle is always on, and we would love to meet you.

What a busy and lively morning at playgroup!

This morning, tamariki explored puzzles, built strength and coordination on bikes and foam squabs, and expressed themselves in a group painting activity, mixing colours and discovering new things along the way.

It was wonderful to see growing confidence, independence, and curiosity as some tamariki practised new skills, tested their balance, and explored different areas of play.

Every morning provides opportunities for new discoveries, and today was no exception.

Playgroup is Back!
Kia ora koutou,
Our playgroup is starting again in Term 1, and we would love to welcome pēpi, tamariki, and whānau who aren’t quite ready for their Kindergarten journey.
It’s a fun, safe, and friendly space to play, explore, and make new friends before heading off to Kindergarten.
When: Mondays & Thursdays, 9.30–11.30am
Starting: Monday 2 February & Thursday 5 February
Spaces are available for new families, so please spread the word to friends, whānau, and anyone with young tamariki.
Come along, join our playgroup, and connect with the wider Kindergarten community.

Playgroup is such a fantastic way to foster social interaction, and provide various different learning opportunities in a relaxed & friendly environment.
We love our mornings out in the community exploring, as well as our visits to the kindergarten, which will assist our transition from playgroup to kindy when the time comes.
