What an amazing week at the AIMS Games! 🎉

This year saw a huge increase in ASA (Adapted Sports Athletes) entries, with entries more than tripling from last year across Cross Country, Swimming, Table Tennis and Indoor Bowls.

A number of our members had an awesome time competing, with some fantastic results along the way.

🏊 Imogen (Whakatāne Intermediate) had an outstanding week, winning 2 Golds and 1 Silver in Swimming, as well as Silver in Cross Country.

🏃 Marcus (Te Puke Intermediate) took home Bronze in Cross Country.

🎳 In Indoor Bowls, Rico (Mokoia Intermediate) won Bronze in the Pairs, Whawhai (Mokoia Intermediate) won Bronze in the Individual, and Mahy (Te Puke Intermediate) qualified in the top 8 after Day 1, but unfortunately was unable to compete on Day 2.

🏓 Lilah (Bethlehem College) played really well in Table Tennis and represented herself brilliantly.

🧗 Teddy (Tauranga Intermediate) competed in the Open section of Rock Climbing, placing 25th out of 42 Year 8 boys.

It was fantastic to see so many of our members getting out there, giving things a go and enjoying the AIMS Games experience.

We love working alongside the Zespri AIMS Games School Sporting Championships team and all the different code coordinators to help create opportunities for ASAs, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
