That’s a wrap on term three!

We concluded our Basic Obedience classes with a fastest sit competition. It was an awesome competition with amazing competitors in both classes.

In our 6pm class, Coco, Itzy, and Zena topped the competition (see pictured - Coco and Zena with their proud Mums). The 6:45 pm class was a tight race to the end with Sprite, Paddy, and Chief topping their class. Well done to all of our dogs and their amazing pet parents 🙂

Keep an eye on our page for the next terms enrolments, which will open early October 🐾

The Matariki scentwork show has concluded.

Some outstanding performances from all participants, especially those who successfully identified scent locations.

Our local club members showcased their skills, with newcomers achieving qualifying certificates and demonstrating trust in their canine partners.

We also had a fun activity, finding the Matariki stars for human treats, was also enjoyed.

Appreciation is extended to the judges, Petfood NZ, all the helpers and vechiles for searches, Enviro NZ, stenersen kain and Campion School for permitting the use of their grounds.

GISBORNE SCENTWORK TRIAL.

This weekend, we will be hosting our scentwork trial, where competitors and their canine companions will join our local club members at Campion College to demonstrate their training and locate hidden scents.

The scentwork challenges for our dogs involve essential oils concealed within or on objects throughout the school grounds. Each team is allotted three minutes in a designated search area to locate a single hidden scent at the novice level, progressing to ten hidden scents at the detective level. (Additional time is provided for more advanced levels).

911 Coffee Cart enjoyed a great couple of days in Gisborne at the Dog Show held at the Showgrounds. We wish all participants a safe journey back to their hometowns. It was a highlight meeting people from across the motu, including those from the South Island who traveled up with their pets. We appreciate the invitation from the Gisborne Dog Training Club and look forward to returning for next year's event. Gisborne Dog Training Club

THIS WEEKEND

It's our annual show this weekend where competitors come from all over the country to compete in Agility and Obedience, showcasing young just starting out dogs to the cream of the crop champions in both sports.

Where... the windmill paddock at the showgrounds.

We have 911 Coffee Co on board bringing the coffee and sweet treats.
canines with dogs treats, toys and more

Raffles running all weekend.

Come along and see what dog sports are all about.
(We do ask public not to bring dogs along as it can be very overwhelming to see all the people and dogs out there running round)
