Gizzy provided the vibes ! Great weather and all round great weekend.

Massive thanks to our amazing judges who made the trip and gave us a great weekend of laughs, challenges, amazing achievements, and some good training goals !

A heart felt thank you to everyone who jumped in and gave us a hand over the weekend to keep our show running, without your help we would still be running today!
Thank you to Napier and Ebop club for bringing extra gear allowing us to run 2 rings !
Also thanks to our local all round helper Brad-man for turning up both days and giving your all to helping and to Ruth for lead running ! Your help is appreciated by all.

Top overall dog went to Paige Yearbury and Koda
Top gizzy dog Amelia Gower and Me!
And massive congrats to Amanda Benson for gaining her 70th clear round in jumpers for Jumpers A Excellence Gold award.
Justine and dunc for their first clear in starters !!

OBEDIENCE
Top overall dog Robyn Bland with her golden retriever Era
Top Gizzy dog Amerillis Farmer and Quake.
Also congrats to Era or grading up into test C.

Shout out to 911 Coffee Co for keeping us fed and caffeine levels high !

911 Coffee Cart enjoyed a great couple of days in Gisborne at the Dog Show held at the Showgrounds. We wish all participants a safe journey back to their hometowns. It was a highlight meeting people from across the motu, including those from the South Island who traveled up with their pets. We appreciate the invitation from the Gisborne Dog Training Club and look forward to returning for next year's event. Gisborne Dog Training Club

THIS WEEKEND

It's our annual show this weekend where competitors come from all over the country to compete in Agility and Obedience, showcasing young just starting out dogs to the cream of the crop champions in both sports.

We have 911 Coffee Co on board bringing the coffee and sweet treats.

Come along and see what dog sports are all about.
(We do ask public not to bring dogs along as it can be very overwhelming to see all the people and dogs out there running round)

With the terms classes completed we go into our winter break.
But our trainers are still working behind the scenes some doing some last minute training and others chipping away at goals, the fun never ends.

We are all busy heading towards our champ show thats on kings birthday weekend
Showcasing dogs from around the country in obedience and agility who travel over to good Ole Gissy to try there best out on the field and take home the best dogs at the end of the day.

We loved seeing our last classes progress soo much and enjoyed seeing everyone show off some tricks on the last night.

Next classes will start back again round August 🐾🩵🐾

Gisborne dogs and trainers had a great weekend across the island

Quake and Amerillis went to a German shepherd specialist show and got 2x 3rd in open and excellent grading.

Huntsman and Penny had some happy runs and have gained alot of confidence in the agility world.

Amelia and her amazing dogs definitely cleaned up
T***k graduated from starters and is now a nov/int dog (at nearly 10years it shows old dogs do still have it)

ME! got a couple of wins under her belt and growing in confidence from going up the grades at the start of the year.

Y! Got his first ever clear round in the ring and took out 1st place.

Congrats to all the dogs and humans on the end of the leash here's to more show weekends

🐾 Treasurer Wanted!

Gisborne Dog Club is looking for a Treasurer to join our committee, and we’d love to hear from our members.

The role involves keeping track of the club’s finances, managing invoices and payments through Xero, and providing simple financial updates for the committee. The role requires some regular weekly administration to ensure everything stays up to date and running smoothly.

Interested or want to know more? Come along to our AGM on Tuesday 24th March at 5:45pm.
