Mangapapa Scouts Group Mangapapa Scout Group consists of a Kea & Scout Troup based in Mangapapa, Gisborne, New Zealand. We are part of the Waiapu Zone.

We deliver Great Quality Programmes, Progressive Award Schemes, Outdoor Experiences, plus Learning & Development through Adventure, for young people aged 6-14 in Gisborne, New Zealand. Mission

There are over 19,000 youth & adult volunteers in SCOUTS NZ, and this number is growing every day. We equip young people aged 6-26 with life skills of problem-solving, teamwork, citizenship, & healthy living; plus provide them with access to a large range of outdoor activities. Description
Mangapapa is part of the Waiapu Zone which includes 11 Scout Groups stretching from Takapau in the south to Matawai in the north (all of Hawke's Bay & Gisborne). General Information
In Gisborne we offer three youth sections open to young people of every faith, ability & background. Keas (ages 6-8), Cubs (8-10) & Scouts (10-14). While the activities our youth members take part in will depend on their age, each Section gives young people the opportunity to โ€˜learn by doingโ€™. Our weekly programmes are therefore themed to provide our members with real challenges based around our four cornerstones; the outdoors, personal development, the community & new experiences.

It's okay to be different from others and itโ€™s not okay to bully people because they are not the same as you. Here at Scouts we pride ourselves on creating safe inclusive spaces for all! We hope rangatahi in our Movement take Scouting values into their everyday lives and help stand up and speak out against bullying!

Lest we forget.
Today we honour and pay our respects to those who have served and continue to serve our country. May we always remember their courage and commitment to freedom.
Many proud Scouts and Kaiฤrahi will be attending Anzac commemorations around the motu.
