Just two more critical roles to fill for Saturday. To run our event we need a marshal at the turnaround point. We also need a volunteer to hand out finish tokens. Without these two roles filled the event won't be able to go ahead. Even if you've not volunteered before these roles are very easy 🙂

A second barcode scanner (who could be a fast runner who runs then scans) and a second timekeeper would also be really useful.

Where are all the lovely volunteers? We're looking for a couple of barcode scanners, a finish tokens person, a course set up / course check person, a turnaround marshal and a tailwalker. A second timekeeper would be a bonus. You'll have fun, get any help you need to do the role and get a parkrun volunteer credit. Comment here or email [email protected]

Milestone Monday

Congratulations to Abi Mace for reaching the big 2-5! Abi is also often one of our volunteers, and a regular at Tuff - cheers to the next 25!

Shoutout as well to Cam Gordon for reaching 10 parkruns and earning his first volunteer credit. Well done Cam!

Milestone Monday
We celebrated two important milestones on Saturday:
🤍 Leané for v10
💜 Mark for 25

Leané is a fantastic regular volunteer even though she's young. Her family give a lot of time to our parkrun. Mark is one of our amazing Run Directors and he'll be wearing the blue and white again on Saturday

Slightly damp morning but that didn't deter too many volunteers or participants. Among others we welcomed two Poles who were visiting from London. Thanks for joining us for today's run around a volcanic crater

Edit. We found him. It's Tao Yu and he's now got his hard earned result! Please help us. This wonderful athlete finished first today BUT we don't have his name or barcode. The barcode data showed we'd managed to scan someone else by mistake, a U18 female! It was his first ever first place so we're sure he'll want it!
