The PHAB experience is offered jointly and equally to disabled and non-disabled people. The opportunities and activities are intended to be of equal benefit to all members. As our members tend to have a long term involvement with PHAB much fun is had.

THAT’S A WRAP ON ANOTHER PHAB HOLIDAY PROGRAMME! 💜

What a couple of weeks it’s been! From fun-filled adventures, outings and creative activities paired with shared laughs, fun new experiences and friendships, we’ve packed so much into these holidays. 🥳✨

There’s been plenty of fun, a little bit of chaos (as every good holiday programme should have 😉), and so many moments that remind us why we do what we do.

A massive THANK YOU to our incredible team for bringing the energy, care and creativity every day, and to our members for making every programme so special. 💜

PHD's - Phab Hang Out Day's
A day of exploring, connecting and enjoying a change of scenery at one of our favourite Auckland spaces! 🦒🌿
Our PHAB holiday programme crew enjoyed a trip to the zoo, taking in the sights, checking out the animals and ice creams at the cafe .

♻️ PHAB HAS BEEN SELECTED FOR THE RVM!

For October and November, you can support PHAB by recycling your eligible cans and bottles through the RVM machine at Birkenhead New World.

💚 How you can help:
Collect your eligible cans and bottles and take them to the RVM. When prompted, simply select PHAB as your chosen recipient and your recycling will help support our work creating inclusive opportunities for people with disabilities across Auckland.

Don’t just look in your recycling bin! 👀

Eligible cans and bottles can be found at:
🌊 Beaches
🌳 Parks
🏟️ Sports fields
🚗 Carparks
💼 Workplaces
🏡 Home
…and anywhere else recyclable containers might otherwise end up as waste.

Share this with your whānau, friends, colleagues and wider community and encourage them to choose PHAB too.

What a week at PHAB! ✨

Another busy week across our 19 PHAB clubs throughout Auckland — bringing together 228 PHAB members across our social clubs! 💜

And that’s just the start… 👀

This week we’ve been busy with:

🍳 Breakfast for Dinner
🥗 Nutritional workshops
👕 T-shirt printing
🎲 Games nights
🎤 Rock Star Karaoke
🗳️ Election workshops
🌿 Celebrating Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori
🎂 Celebrating 3 birthdays
🍦 An epic Ice Cream Sundae Bar
🤝 Meeting new people and welcoming new members

We also headed along to the Transition Expo , where we had the opportunity to meet new members, connect with schools and other organisations, and share what PHAB is all about — creating opportunities for people with disabilities to connect, belong and make more of life together. 💜

From learning new things and getting creative, to singing our hearts out and eating way too much ice cream… there’s always something happening at PHAB! 🙌
