Emergencies don’t send calendar invites. We can’t control storms, earthquakes or tsunamis, but we can control how ready we are.

👉 This daylight saving weekend (27-28 September), make your household emergency plan.

Talk with your whānau about what you will do if you:
💬 Can’t get home
💬 Are stuck at home
💬 Need to leave in a hurry

Need help getting started? Use our online form or PDF templates to create your household plan. https://aem.govt.nz/make-a-plan

It’s time to talk emergencies, Tāmaki Makaurau! ⏰

✅21 Local Boards
✅21 Emergency Readiness and Response Plans
For the first time, every part of Auckland has its own has its own local Emergency Readiness and Response Plan- a huge milestone for our region.

Each plan is designed with your community, for you and your community. That means you will find emergency information and practical advice tailored to the unique needs of your local area and community.

How to use your plan:
- Identify your top local hazards
- Find key contacts and emergency information
- Get practical guidance to prepare for different emergencies
- Learn where you can go if you need to evacuate
- Make your household emergency Plan

👉 Read your local plan here: https://aem.govt.nz/local-plans

A big thank you to all 21 local boards for working with us to create these plans.
