You asked, we listened. The iconic KIND tee is BACK! ✨

This is hands down one of the designs we get asked about the most, so we’re very excited to bring Juliette Hogan’s much-loved tee back for another year.

The design began when Juliette asked her daughter Daisie, then five years old, to write some words and fell in love with the way she wrote ‘kind’.

“My hope for my girls is that they grow up being kind. Kind to themselves, to each other, to their friends, to their community and to people they do not even know. It’s my role as a parent to teach them kindness, and kindness is what this world needs more of.”

Years later, this story still feels as special as ever ✨

We asked the Kindness Collective team what kindness means to them.

From small moments they’ve never forgotten, to families whose stories have stayed with them, some of these answers really got us.

It was a beautiful reminder that kindness doesn’t have to be huge to matter. Sometimes it’s the smallest moments that stay with us the longest.

At first glance, Vince Ropitini’s black and white tee may look simple, but the meaning behind it runs deep.

“Manaakitanga is about giving someone what they need to soar. Support, encouragement and guidance. The five feathers also represent the five fingers of a helping hand, a reminder that kindness is something we extend.” For Vince, it’s about helping future generations find their wings 💜

“Aro ki te pā” means to turn your attention towards home, your people and the place where you belong.

This striking design by Waiapu Road has already stopped so many people in their tracks, but it’s the thought behind it that makes it even more special.

“My pā taught me kindness and manaakitanga from a young age. It taught me what it means to open your arms and your home to others.”

For Waiapu Road, a ‘pā’ is about whānau, sharing kai, looking out for one another and the feeling of knowing you have people around you no matter what.

“It’s unity. It’s aroha. It’s mana motuhaketanga.”

That’s the idea behind this incredibly cool tee designed by twenty-seven names.

When we asked Anjali and Rachel from twenty-seven names what kindness means to them, they told us “It’s karma. What goes around comes around, so treat others the way you want to be treated.”
