Check out some of the incredible PJ collections that have been collected so far in the first month of The PJ Project ❄️✨

A huge thank you to Columbus Coffee Glen Eden, ORIX New Zealand, All Souls Church in Christchurch, Hancocks Family Merchants, Club 31 Health & Fitness, St Michael’s Catholic School, and some very generous individual collectors, including one of our KC whānau, Aubrey, who donated 10 pairs of PJs for other local kids who could do with some kindness this winter 🥹💜

“Mā te huruhuru, ka rere te manu” 🪶✨
With adorned feathers the bird will fly.

What an honour it was to be a part of Mā Te Huruhuru’s He Pā Piringa and He Pā Tupu graduation day 🎓

A huge mihi to all of the taitamariki who completed their journeys, but special mentions to Ani and Kayla - both who worked with us over the Christmas Joy Store and Ani, who now works with us full time - who took out the most honourable award.

Whakanuia! 🎊✨

He mihi nui tēnei ki te whānau o Hoani Waititi Marae mō ngā manaakitanga katoa, ki a Stacey Morrison mō tōnā ngākau nui i roto i ōna kōrero whakakipakipa, me tō tātou whānau o Mā Te Huruhuru i whakatūwhera i te kaupapa whakahirahira nei.

Last Friday, we welcomed 23 senior leaders from LEGO’s Asia-Pacific team into our hub, and they left having packed and prepared essentials and goods for thousands of people across our community.

A typical volunteer session might have anywhere between 4–12 people, but with a team of 23 (and a competitive team at that!), the mahi absolutely flew by!

The team supported us by:
💜 Packing 96 food boxes
💜 Preparing tailored toiletry packs for 15 families
💜 Assembling all Term 2 Kindness Cup boxes for 93 schools
💜 Packing 2,149 pairs of pyjamas ready for delivery

It was a huge day of impact and connection, and a reminder of what’s possible when we all pitch in for the sake of kindness.

E mihi ana LEGO for rolling up your sleeves. We are incredibly grateful to have National Partners who support our community in more ways than one. 🤝✨

E mihi ana All Souls Church community in Christchurch 💜

We were told that one of their church members, who recently passed away, was a big supporter of The PJ Project. Her wish was for no flowers after her passing, but asked for people to donate PJs for the PJ Project instead.

This one act of kindness has manifested into their community having collected 154 pairs of PJs so far, and say that there will be more to come. Such kindness. 🥹 ✨

9,710 pairs of pyjamas have made their way to 107 different organisations across Aotearoa, thanks to The PJ Project, and you! 🙌

Here are some of the incredible people we’ve seen and places we’ve been, delivering warmth and kindness to cool kids across the motu. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou. It takes all of us 💜✨

170,000 Kiwi kids are living in hardship, and as the colder months set in, many families are feeling the pressure even more.

This year, The PJ Project is aiming to provide 20,000 children across Aotearoa with brand new pyjamas — helping bring warmth, comfort, better sleep, and one less thing for families to worry about 💜

You can help by donating online at kindness.org.nz or by dropping off brand new pyjamas at collection bins in your local The Warehouse store. Every pair makes a difference.

Together, we can help keep kids in need, warm this winter 🧣✨

From Kaitaia to Christchurch, The Warehouse stores across the country have been busy collecting your pyjama donations!

These are passed on to our Regional Coordinators, who then deliver them to local kids in each community who need them most 🙌

With about a month left to donate at The Warehouse, now’s the perfect time to get involved. If you're out shopping this weekend, consider picking up a cosy pair of PJs to drop in the collection bin, it’s a really simple act that makes a big difference! 💜

Our Everyday Essentials programme is exactly that, everyday support for families who need it most 💜✨

All year round, we’re helping families with pantry staples, fresh fruit and veggies, frozen goods and toiletries. And during The PJ Project, every child gets a pair of warm pyjamas too.

Our Community Partners, like Talei and Felicia here, see firsthand the difference these essentials make for families doing it tough. Your kindness is doing more than filling pantries and keeping kids warm at bedtime, it’s bringing comfort, relief for families who could really use your kindness 💜

Ngā mihi Wellington for your support! This is our third PJ Project delivery so far, with many more on the way. 💜

A massive THANK YOU to Kindness Collective Foundation, Lisa & the incredible team for the amazing donations received today for all of the whānau we work alongside.

With the nights getting colder, the timing couldn’t be more perfect to get these out to those who need them most.

Your kindness, generosity and ongoing support means so much to our community. We appreciate you all 💛
