Remember Harold the Giraffe? For generations of West Aucklanders, a visit from Harold has been an iconic part of growing up, and thanks to $8,000 from the Your West Support Fund, thousands more local tamariki will get to experience it too.

Life Education Trust Auckland West - Adventures with Harold reaches around 10,000 kids aged 5–13 and supports more than 300 teachers each year across The West, from Swanson and Hobsonville to Titirangi and Kumeū. Their mobile classrooms bring learning to life, covering everything from nutrition and mental wellbeing to friendship, resilience and making positive choices.

As Trustee August Prescott puts it, ‘Our goal is to educate and empower tamariki to make the best choices so they can live full and healthy lives.’

Big love to the team keeping our tamariki healthy, happy and thriving.
