What is ‘waste-to-energy’ incineration? ‘Waste-to-energy’ incineration is a marketing phrase used by its promoters to present burning rubbish with expensive fossil fuels in an enclosed chamber as a supposedly clean way to produce electricity. The facts show it is neither clean nor renewable. We are working with communities across the country to stop incineration and climate profiteering from burning waste. Biiiiig news - the Environmental Protection Authority has rejected Bathurst Resource's fast-track application for being 'incomplete'.

It's a breath of relief for nature and an embarrassment for Bathurst.

BUT the fight is not yet over: the outcome of the election will determine the future of Denniston.

The most important thing that we can all do right now is get our friends and whānau to enrol to vote, and make a voting plan to change this government
