Aotearoa wants homegrown energy, not expensive imports❌🚢

The Government is pushing ahead with a billion-dollar LNG import terminal that could lock us in to high prices for decades.

We are demanding a 30-year National Energy Strategy that:
⭐Accelerates community-owned renewables
⭐Safeguards families from energy poverty by making affordable power a human right
⭐Fixes the broken market that prioritises corporate dividends over people

Climate campaigning is working - and this win is due to many years of campaigning from all sorts of people. Despite this govt, we ARE ending the age of coal.

But we can’t just end the age of coal - we need to craft a just transition for workers, so that everyone has good, meaningful work they can rely on in the long term.

It’s been done in Spain almost a decade ago - and it can be done here too.

Let us know in the comments what a just transition looks like for you!

We deserve better. It is true that money talks - but our votes talk louder,

This election is our chance to turf out those corporations who are trying their best to cement their stanglehold on officials and elected representative. Let's kick them out now, before it's too late.

Fossil fuel companies are literally writing the climate laws for Luxon's government.

Their gain = our loss.

This government is staight up doing the bidding of Aotearoa's biggest climate criminals - and then lying to us about it. Large corporates have a stranglehold on this government.

If we can send spaceships to mars and put intelligence on silicon chips, then we can definately achieve democracy at scale.

Anyone who tells us otherwise is laughing their way to the bank by trying to con us that ridiculous levels of wealth inequality are somehow natural.

Big win for our friends at 'Ours not Mine' and other community leaders:

SirenGold’s permit application to open a mine near pristine waterways at Sams Creek has been DECLINED!

It comes after mass community opposition to the proposed mine, led by local group ‘Ours not Mine’ and others.

It is the latest in a long list of setbacks for mining companies across the country.

This Cambridge expert tells it how it is. It's time to cap or tax wealth - external motivations arn't the key driver of innovation anyway!
