सबैमा जानकारी गराइन्छ कि हाम्रा एम्बुलेन्स चालक १५ दिनको बिदामा हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँ १ जुनसम्म बिदामा रहने भएकाले यस अवधिमा हाम्रो एम्बुलेन्स सेवा उपलब्ध हुने छैन ।

यस अवधिमा उपचार तथा शल्यक्रियाका लागि कुकुरहरूलाई हाम्रो उपचार केन्द्रसम्म ल्याउन सहयोग गरिदिनुहुन अनुरोध गर्दछौं ।

भैरहवाबाट हालै उद्धार गरिएका हाम्रो दुई खच्चडको नमुना संकलन गरिदिनुभएको डा. सुमनको नेतृत्वमा रहेको रुपन्देही जिल्ला अस्पतालको भेटेरिनरी टोलीलाई हार्दिक धन्यवाद।

रगतको नमुना र नाकबाट स्वाब संकलन गरी परीक्षणका लागि पठाइएको छ। ती नमुनाहरू कडा जैविक सुरक्षा मापदण्ड अपनाएर नवलपरासी प्रयोगशालामा कल्चर गरिनेछ र त्यसपछि थप परीक्षण तथा कुनै रोगको पुष्टि गर्न काठमाडौंस्थित केन्द्रीय पशु चिकित्सालय प्रयोगशालामा पठाइनेछ।

हामीले ३/४ दिनभित्र नतिजा प्राप्त गर्ने अपेक्षा गरेका छौँ। नतिजा नेगेटिभ आउनेछ भन्ने अझै केही आशा बाँकी छ, ताकि हामी उनीहरूलाई हाम्रो डुकुछाप अभयारण्यमा स्थानान्तरण गर्ने प्रक्रिया अघि बढाउन सकौँ। जीवनभर दुःख र कठिनाइ सहेर बाँचेका उनीहरूले कम्तीमा अब सुरक्षित र शान्त जीवन पाउनैपर्छ।

Thank you to the Veterinary Team from Rupandehi District Hospital led by Dr Suman for collecting the samples of our two recently rescued mules from Bhairahawa.

Blood samples and nasal swabs were taken for testing which will be cultured at the Nawalparasi laboratory under strict biosecurity protocols, and then sent to the Central Veterinary Laboratory in Kathmandu for further testing and confirmation of the presence of any disease. We should know the results in 3/4 days time.

We still have some hope that the results will come back clear so we can start the process of moving them to our Dukuchhap sanctuary. After a life of suffering and hardship, they deserve nothing less.

शल्यक्रिया (सर्जरी) भनेको वर्षौँको व्यावसायिक शिक्षा, क्लिनिकल तालिम र व्यावहारिक अनुभवपछि मात्र राम्रोसँग सिकिने सीप हो। आवश्यक योग्यता र दक्षता बिना यो जथाभावी गर्न मिल्ने कुरा होइन। पशु चिकित्सक (Veterinarian) बन्नका लागि किन वर्षौँ अध्ययन र तालिम आवश्यक पर्छ भन्ने कुराको यही कारण हो।

पशु चिकित्सक र भेटेरिनरी टेक्निसियन दुवैले पशु सेवामा महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका निर्वाह गर्छन्, तर उनीहरूको जिम्मेवारी र काम फरक–फरक हुन्छन्। एक भेटेरिनरी टेक्निसियन स्वतन्त्र रूपमा शल्यक्रिया गर्न योग्य हुँदैनन्।

आवश्यक योग्यता बिना शल्यक्रिया गर्नु र त्यस्ता सेवाहरूको प्रचार गर्नु गैरजिम्मेवार, अनैतिक र गैरकानुनी कार्य हो, जसले जनावरहरूको ज्यानलाई जोखिममा पार्छ। यो विषयमा सर्वसाधारण सचेत हुनु अत्यन्त आवश्यक छ। यदि तपाईं आफ्नो कुकुर, बिरालो वा अन्य कुनै जनावरको उपचार गराउँदै हुनुहुन्छ भने, कृपया सेवा प्रदान गर्ने व्यक्ति आवश्यक योग्यता प्राप्त पेशेवर हो/होइन भन्ने सुनिश्चित गर्नुहोस्।

यस व्यक्तिको विषयमा थप कारबाहीका लागि NVC Excom मा औपचारिक रूपमा रिपोर्ट गरिएको छ।

Surgery is a skill that is mastered only after years of professional education, clinical training, and hands-on practice. It is not something that can be casually performed without the proper qualifications and expertise. There is a reason why veterinarians spend years studying and training to become licensed professionals.

Veterinarians and veterinary technicians both play important roles in animal care, but those roles are not interchangeable. A veterinary technician is not qualified to independently perform surgical procedures. Carrying out surgeries without the proper qualifications and then advertising such services is irresponsible, unethical, illegal, and puts animal lives at risk.

This is something the public should be aware of. If you are seeking veterinary care for your dog, cat, or any other animal, please ensure that the service being provided is being carried out by an appropriately qualified professional.

This individual has been reported to the NVC excom for further action.

के म कुकुर भएको भए तिमीलाई मेरो बढी माया लाग्थ्यो?

सबै जनावरहरू बराबरी रूपमा हाम्रो माया र दयाका हकदार हुन्छन्। कुकुरलाई मानिसहरूले अलि “प्यारा” ठान्छन् भन्दैमा उसको पीडा अरू जनावरको भन्दा ठूलो हुँदैन। भैंसी, खच्चर, सुँगुर वा जुनसुकै जनावर किन नहोस् — पीडा भनेको पीडा हो, डर भनेको डर हो। प्रजाति फरक हुँदैमा उनीहरूको दुःखको मूल्य फरक हुँदैन।

Would you care more if I was a Dog?

All animals are equally deserving of our love and kindness. Just because a dog may appear “cuter” by conventional standards does not mean their suffering matters more than that of a buffalo, mule, pig, or any other animal. Pain is pain, fear is fear - regardless of species.

आज बिहान हामीलाई भैरहवा विमानस्थल नजिकै दुई वटा परित्याग गरिएका खच्चडहरूको बारेमा जानकारी प्राप्त भयो। दुवै खच्चड अत्यन्तै कमजोर अवस्थामा भेटिएका छन्, जसमा चोटपटक, कुपोषण तथा विभिन्न रोगका लक्षणहरू देखिएका छन्। सम्भवतः उनीहरूलाई भैरहवाका नजिकै रहेका इट्टा भट्टाहरूले छाडेका हुन्, जहाँ खच्चडहरूलाई इट्टा बोक्न प्रयोग गरिन्छ। दुःखको कुरा, यस्ता जनावर बिरामी वा घाइते भएपछि धेरैजसो अवस्थामा उपचार गराउनुको सट्टा त्यत्तिकै छोडिने गरिन्छ।

हाम्रो टोलीले तुरुन्तै उद्धार कार्य गरी ती खच्चडहरूलाई उपचार, स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण तथा क्वारेन्टिनका लागि हाम्रो लुम्बिनी क्लिनिकमा ल्याएको छ।

यदि उपचारपछि उनीहरू पूर्ण रूपमा स्वस्थ भएको पुष्टि भयो भने, उनीहरूलाई हाम्रो डुकुछाप पशु आश्रयस्थलमा स्थानान्तरण गरिनेछ — जहाँ उनीहरूले अब कहिल्यै दुःख, बेवास्ता वा श्रम सहनु पर्ने छैन, र बाँकी जीवन सुरक्षित तथा माया पाउँदै बिताउन पाउनेछन्। उनीहरू बचून् भन्ने हाम्रो सबैको आशा छ।

यस घटनाबारे हामीलाई जानकारी गराइदिनुभएको गणेश अमगाईंलाई धन्यवाद, साथै सधैं अग्रसर भएर साथ दिनुहुने हाम्रो प्रिय राजेश यादवप्रति विशेष आभार।

This morning, we were alerted to a case involving two abandoned mules near Bhairahawa Airport. Both animals were found in poor condition, suffering from injuries, malnutrition, and signs of illness. It is likely they were abandoned by nearby brick kilns in Bhairahawa, where mules are commonly used to carry bricks. Sadly, when these animals become sick or injured, many are discarded instead of receiving the veterinary care they desperately need.

We responded swiftly and transported the mules to our Lumbini clinic, where they will remain under quarantine while undergoing treatment, medical tests, and rehabilitation.

If and when they receive the all-clear from our veterinary team, they will be transferred to our Dukuchhap Animal Sanctuary, where they will finally be safe, cared for, and free from suffering for the rest of their lives. Let's hope they make it 🤞🏻

📢 4,237+ International Complaints Received: Our Official Submission to the Government of Nepal

Over the past few days, Animal Nepal has been flooded with an unprecedented wave of international concern. As of today, we have received 4,237 emails from citizens across China, Nepal, the USA, and Europe, all demanding an urgent investigation into elephant welfare practices at the Chitwan Elephant Breeding Centre (EBC) in Sauraha.

These are not coordinated campaigns. They are tourists, animal lovers, and conservation supporters united by deep concern over allegations of systematic chaining, forced breeding, and psychological trauma.

What Animal Nepal Did:
After reviewing over 3,000 emails, we analysed a representative sample of 150 complaints to finalise a detailed International Complaint Summary Report.

On 13 May 2026, we officially submitted the report and a formal letter to:

✅ Prime Minister’s Office
✅ Ministry of Forests and Environment
✅ Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation
✅ Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation (DNPWC)
✅ National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC)
✅ Nepal Tourism Board
✅ WWF Nepal
✅ IUCN Nepal

Our Formal Requests to Authorities (with timelines):

🔹 Public acknowledgement of complaints received – within 7 days

🔹 Confirmation of investigation initiation – within 14 days

🔹 Timeline for investigation completion – within 30 days

🔹 Invite independent elephant welfare experts – before investigation begins

🔹 Publish findings and corrective actions – upon completion

Why This Matters for Nepal:

🐘 35% of complainants explicitly threatened to cancel or discourage travel to Nepal

📉 Negative content is spreading rapidly on Xiaohongshu, Weibo, and Douyin

🌍 Persistent allegations risk impacting Nepal’s UNESCO World Heritage reputation

Important Clarification:
We are not demanding immediate closure without process. The overwhelming majority request transparency, independent oversight, and credible welfare reform.

Nepal has a globally respected conservation record. We believe in science-based, compassionate solutions. Now is the time for transparent leadership.

We await the government’s acknowledgement and response.
