Let’s clear a few things up about drink can recycling ♻️👇

❌Myth: “It costs more to recycle aluminium than making it from new”
False! Recycling aluminium uses around 95% less energy than producing it from raw materials, which is why it’s such a widely recycled material.

❌Myth: “Recycling my drink can doesn’t make a difference”
Every can really does count! Aluminium can be recycled again and again without losing quality, saving huge amounts of energy and raw materials every time.

❌Myth: “Cans are sent halfway around the world to be recycled”
Actually, most drink cans collected in Ireland are recycled much closer to home at the UK's largest drink can recycling plant in Warrington, Cheshire.

From collection through to sorting, melting and manufacturing, your empty drink can could be back on the shop shelf in as little as 60 days.

So yes… recycling your can really does make a difference!💚

🇺🇸🌍 ECC Around the World heads to the USA! Next stop… music, rivers, and recycling in the Ozarks, Missouri 🎶🌊

Picture this: floating down the river in your inflatable dingy, live country music playing in the backrgound… and plenty of cans making their way straight into recycling. ♻️

At the iHeartRadio Bull Float Trip in Missouri, our friends Every Can Counts U.S. teamed up with local conservation not-for-profit MidAmerica Clean Future Alliance to keep sustainability front and centre across this one-of-a-kind festival.

With help from ECC ambassadors roaming the event with their iconic can recycling backpacks and a custom guitar amp can cage, over 13,000 drink cans were collected and recycled across the weekend!👏

🎥🌍 ECC Around the World lands in Romania! 🇷🇴✨

Here's some creativity with a purpose! The “I CAN” tour showed empty drink cans transformed into bold, eye-catching art installations by a local artist. Each art piece was presented at a variety of events across several months. 🎨

And these installations didn’t just turn heads, they got people thinking, sharing, and celebrating their own “I CAN” moments around sustainability. ♻️💬
