Rest up, Aoife 🫶

Our best wishes to Aoife Wafer, who has undergone successful surgery on an injury sustained during WXV.

One of the game’s trailblazers, it’s a real pity she won’t be able to play her part in Ireland’s historic trip to South Africa 🇿🇦

A look back at a special day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Last year, we welcomed Stephen Ferris, Jamie Heaslip and Claire Molloy into the Heineken Rugby Players Ireland Hall of Fame, celebrating three remarkable careers in the company of family, friends and former teammates.

On Friday, 6 November, we’ll do it all again as Rory Best, Niamh Briggs and John Muldoon take their place among the greats of Irish rugby 🏉

We look forward to another afternoon of stories, reunions and well deserved recognition

⭐️ John Muldoon ⭐️

Few players are as synonymous with a province as John Muldoon is with Connacht Rugby 🟢

Across 15 seasons and a record 327 appearances, he became a cornerstone of the west, with the defining moment coming ten years ago when he captained his home province to a historic PRO12 title 🏆

An IrishRugby international and Barbarian, his longevity and loyalty made him one of the most respected figures in the Irish game.

From player and captain to coach, Mull’s commitment to Connacht has endured, making him a deserving Heineken Rugby Players Ireland Hall of Fame inductee ✨

You can join us as we celebrate John’s career with his friends and family at this year’s Hall of Fame Lunch on Friday, November 6th. Spaces are limited.

Briggsy was at the heart of a generation that changed the landscape of Irish women’s rugby.

A historic Grand Slam in 2013 was followed by some famous outings before she captained IrishRugby to another Six Nations title in 2015 ☘️🏆

Across 62 caps she became one of the defining players of her era, compounded by her efforts for UL Bohs & 🔴

A trailblazer on the pitch and now an important figure in the continued growth of the women’s game, Niamh is a deserving Heineken Rugby Players Ireland Hall of Fame inductee ✨

⭐️ Rory Best ⭐️

Two Grand Slams, multiple World Cups, Lions tours and over 200 appearances for Ulster Rugby only tell some of the story of Rory Best’s remarkable playing career.

Over more than a decade in green, he was at the heart of an IrishRugby system that broke new ground, setting standards through his actions.

He has continued to walk the walk beyond his playing career through initiatives like Miles to Mayo and as General Manager of his home province.

A career defined by character and commitment to others makes Rory a deserving Heineken Rugby Players Ireland Hall of Fame inductee ✨

You can join us as we celebrate Rory’s career with his friends and family at this year’s Hall of Fame Lunch on Friday, November 6th. Spaces are limited.

A Milestone Moment ☘️

Not everyone gets the opportunity to sing the anthem knowing they are about to represent their country for the first time.

Congratulations to Sophie Barrett and Kate Jordan, who joined Alana McInerney in making their Ireland debuts over the weekend.

A special occasion for all three, we look forward to seeing what’s next 💚

If only you could bottle up that feeling ☺️

An impressive debut try for Alana McInerney was among the highlights of a 43-19 win for Ireland over Japan in Cork today.

Fellow first cap Sophie Barrett also got in on the try scoring action 👊🏻

Our congratulations to everyone involved 👏
