Fantastic opportunity tomorrow for families with Alex Winstanley, Author and Co-Founder and Managing Director of Happy Smiles Training CIC

ITV News is coming!โ€ฆ
โ€ฆ. to film my brand new โ€˜Do Disability Differentlyโ€™ book project this Saturday at Leigh Library at 10.30am! ๐ŸŽฅ
In partnership with Maddison House Press,
this project means so much to me because the book is being shaped directly by disabled children and young people, sharing real lived experience to help adults, families and professionals better understand disability and neurodivergence ๐Ÿ’›
I would absolutely love to see as many families there as possible! The session is completely relaxed and drop-in, so you can pop in anytime between 10am and 12pm and stay for as long or as little as youโ€™d like!
Whether your child wants to chat, draw, share ideas or simply listen, every single voice matters and could help shape a book that creates real change ๐ŸŒ
And honestlyโ€ฆ how amazing is it that local children and young people have the opportunity to have their voices heard not only in a future book, but potentially on TV too! ๐Ÿคฉ
If you canโ€™t make it in person, you can still get involved online here:
https://form.jotform.com/260895772076369
Audio version:
https://youtu.be/ivJfAAbYCzE
Please share this with families, schools and anyone who would love to be part of something really unique!

A colourful poster promoting a project where disabled and neurodivergent children and young people can help create a new educational book with author Alex Winstanley and Happy Smiles. The poster explains how to get involved through schools, libraries and community sessions, highlights the importance of sharing lived experience, and includes contact details for families, schools and young people interested in taking part.

We are sharing some information from the Occupational Therapy team within WWL about their Feeding Support Service

This is for children who have feeding difficulties including restricted diet, limited variety, or feeding patterns that aren't typical.

Please read the attached information to find lots of information to refer your child for the service if you think that they would benefit.

More information can also be found here:
