Coach Ramble Marple

There will be two walks on this Ramble the longer walk will be a eight mile circular along the Goyt valley which will include a view of the Cage .The walk visits our industrial heritage,with deep wooded cloughs , woodlands and the riverside finishing with a walk along the canal.

There are a few gradual inclines, but no stiles or gates !



There are no details as of yet regarding the shorter walk !

Ian & Sue will lead the long walk & Chris & Gillian the shorter one !

A very BiG thank you to Phil the legend for leading us on a very good walk on a lovely autumnal afternoon around Martland & the fields surrounding Elnup wood & the John pit ! Nice surprise at the end a trip to the tap room of the wily fox 🦊 brewery! Excellent walk ! 12 people attended today

Coach Ramble Lyme Park
October 3rd 10-30

There will be two walks on this Ramble Andy & Jan will lead a 7 mile walk starting at the station at Disley, near the Ram inn, going up some steep steps and following a well made road/ track to the entrance to Lyme park. We then follow good paths along the Gritstone trail and walk to spoons hill for lunch and weather permitting great views of Jodrell Bank observatory the walk is a moderate walk with one ladder stile !

Phil & Pat will lead a 5.5 mile walk inside the magnificent grounds of Lyme park lunch will be taken in the courtyard with a cafe and toilets !

Hopefully after the walks are completed there will be sufficient time for a cafe/ pub visit !

The coach will depart Lyme park at 4-00
