Today the Cross of st Mary's church in Lower Ince was taking down from the building but it was taking down by the church as we spoke with them earlier. It is being held in a church in wigan to keep it safe and they will be keeping us updated on the plans for it.
We have some ideas for it and we would like to keep it in the area and maybe make it a feature for the area as I know lots of people have strong connections with the church. We will be in contact with the council and church to discuss our ideas for the cross if possible ⛪️

Hi everyone. We have been contacted by Lili who works at ITV News. She is hoping to speak to people about what life in springview (makerfield) is like and what people want to see changed in the area with all what is happening with the election coming up. They are keen to speak to all ages 18+ They will be in the area next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We did an hour with only 3 of us, we managed to get 6 bags of rubbish off the streets from the top end of Spring View 😀.
