The government has announced that they have decided to retain and strengthen local Healthwatch organisations and Healthwatch England. This decision follows extensive discussions in parliament where there was strong support for the principle of independent user voice, and the work of Healthwatch in particular.

The Board of Healthwatch North Tyneside welcomes the government’s change in approach and would like to thank everyone for their support over the last 18 months of uncertainty. During this period we have continued to engage with local residents about health and care issues that matter to them and have involved more people than ever in co-production activities to review and improve local services.

Meadow Wellness is the alcohol recovery service held at The Meadows Community Centre in North Shields. If you are experiencing difficulties with alcohol, contact Specialist Alcohol Worker Haley to see if you could benefit from group support.

Meadow Wellness is the alcohol recovery service held at The Meadows Community Centre. Currently we are holding two group sessions per week.

Women Only Group - Tuesday 1pm - 3pm
Mixed Group - Friday 10am - 12pm

So we can make sure that the groups are the right tool for your recovery, please contact Haley, our Specialist Alcohol Worker before you attend one of our groups. Her email is [email protected] or contact us via 0191 3410033

We can only offer the group sessions due to funding changes. This means there are no one-to-one appointments available currently.
