We work with health professionals to give parcels including but not limited to: teenage mums, people seeking asylum and women fleeing domestic abuse and trafficking. Baby Basics was founded in 2009 at the King's Centre church in Sheffield, we are now operating this scheme in Swansea. Baby Basics works with midwives, health visitors and other professional bodies to provide starter packs for those i
n need. We can help vulnerable groups such as teenage mums, asylum seekers, and women fleeing domestic violence and trafficking,
Our Moses baskets provide a safe bed to sleep in and are packed full of toiletries such as nappies, wipes, maternity pads, as well as blankets, towels and baby clothes. We believe that Baby Basics shows God's love in action. In order to refer a client to us, please contact us using the email address on this page. Leave a message with a name and contact details and we will get in touch. If you would like to donate items you can bring them to St Thomas Parish office in the Church Hall, St Thomas Library. Please see the separate list of what we can and cannot accept. You can also help by praying for the project and the volunteers; telling your friends about Baby Basics; knitting blankets, cardigans, and other lovely things for newborns; or contributing financially.
