Excellent meeting yesterday, we had 2 guests Nick and Karen and a fellow Toastmaster, Ryan who is the Area Director for the 4 clubs in Wales. It was great to have guests, we look to seeing Nick and Karen again and we appreciate the visit/feedback from Ryan

We had 3 prepared speeches, they were all excellent, different, and entertaining. It was a great example regarding how the team members progress with regards to their speaking skills and confidence

Great meeting yesterday, a meeting of fun, laughter and education. We had 6 visitors, Modinat, Omolara, Obianuyu, Tina , Doug and Cristian. all enjoyed the meeting and contributed to a great meeting .

Congratulations to our contest winners, Well done to Alan who won the Evaluation Contest. he delivered a succinct Table Topics Evaluation that had tips for improvements for each Table Topic Speaker.

A BIG congratulations to Omalara who won the Table Topic Contest, Omolara was a guest and delivered a great Table Topic Speech

Congratulation to Dewi Roberts for taking part in the District Contest for Best International Speaker The contest took place on Saturday the 2nd of May, we had over 150 members attending.

Dewi, won the Club, Area and Division contests and was representing the club, Valleys and Vale Speakers Club at the Division Contest. There were 7 speakers taking part, The best 7 speakers from approximately 174 clubs.

Dewi, did not win the District contest, however Dewi is clearly a winner and a great example for all of us to follow. He only recently started his public speaking journey and this was his first attempt with regards to competing at competitions. A great result .

Irrespective of your goal, taking part in competitions, presentations in work, speaking at your club/church, preparing for that important interview, we can/will assist you. You can be the next Dewi !

Come along and see how Toastmasters can assist you to improve your public speaking skill, presentation skill and organisation skills.
You may have that important work's presentation that you must deliver, a speech at a wedding, an interview that you have to attend, or simply you want to develop your communication skills and find your voice. We are here to assist and develop your skills and confidence

Great meeting last night, Tuesday the 28th of April. We had a number of the team carrying out roles for the first time, Luke as Um and R counter and George as timer. Both did an excellent job. Also. we had 2 visitors, Modinat and Omolara, visitors play an important part of the club's meetings, Ladies, we look forward to you visiting again

We had a repeat speech regarding Dewi's winning speech, Dewi has won the club, Area and Division contest and will soon be taking part in the District contest. We wish Dewi all the best, we are sure he will do well

Simon won both contests for Best Table Toipc Speaker and Best Evaluator, quite a feat to win both, well done

Next meeting is on the 12th of May, as always all welcome. Make that big step/decision to come along and improve your speaking skills and confidence.

Excellent meeting last Tuesday, we had Luke, one of our newest members delivering his first speech evaluation. and winning the evaluation contest, well done Luke a great result.

It is great to see our members making progress, especially our new members, progress is visible after a few meetings. We do not aspire for perfection we aspire for progress and this evident in all our members.

Next meeting is on Tuesday the 28th of April, as always all welcome, If you have been thinking about attending make that step, come along and you will be making progress in a short period of time.

Yesterday we had the Divisional International Speech Contest. This contest consisted of 5 speakers who won their Area Contest, which represent approximately 30 clubs

The winner of the contest was Dewi Roberts, member of Valleys and Vale Speakers Club, this was a great result ! Well done to Dewi. Dewi will now go onto to the District Contest, which takes place in May

This is the first time that Dewi has entered such a competition and is a great example of what one can achieve with the a strong desire to improve and support of a good club. We wish Dewi success in the District Competition, already has achieved a lot but we are sure there is more to come

Next Club meeting is on the 14th of April, if you like to attend or have any questions about the club, just ask . We are here to help all achieve their goals regarding public speaking skill and building confidence

On Saturday we attended and took part in the Area contest. The contest consisted of prepared speeches, (up to 7 minutes duration) and speech evaluations (up to 3 minutes duration). all the clubs based in Wales took part

Result:
- Valleys and Vale Club won the best speech contest, this is a great result, well done Dewi.!
- Valleys and Vale came second regarding the speech evaluation ,also a great result, well done Phil

Dewi will now compete in the Division contest, taking part are all the winners of their Area contests, this contest will take place on the 11th of April. We are sure that Dewi will excel again.

This was the first contest that Dewi had entered.a competition. Dewi has made great progress regarding his speaking skills and confidence, resulting in winning the area competition! This is the benefit of attending Toastmasters.

You may want to improve your presentation skills for work, get ready for a wedding speech or win a competition. In all cases we are here to assist you in achieving your goals

We had an excellent meeting this Tuesday, 24th March . This week we had a club competition

We have a club competition twice a year, usually in March and September. The competition consists of speeches and evaluations.

Why do we have competitions? The competitions are a measure of how much the team members have progressed. The winners of the competitions progress to the area competition , If they win the area then division competition and if you keep on winning the world competition !

Do you have to compete? No, you do not have to compete, but it is useful as it takes you out of your comfort zone and as you progress in the competition you meet other club members and experience some excellent speeches/speakers. Usually participating in competitions takes time and practice and Toastmasters is the ideal place to achieve this skill and confidence to enter competitions

Congratulations to the winners of the competitions and all who entered and a special thanks to all who supported the contest

As always we were very pleased to have some guests, Rob, Beth and Dilini, thanks for attending and we look forward to seeing you again .

Also we had a new member, Ffion, great news. We look forward to supporting Ffion with her program
