Want to be in with a chance of winning a prize, and supporting your local scout group, if so, get involved.

We are initially raising funds to send some of our young people off the the 2027 World Scout Jamboree in Poland, for a once in a lifetime trip, along 50000 other Scouts from around the world.

Once they are away, we’ll be using the funds to help maintain and improve our hall and grounds for our group, and to continue providing the grounds at no cost to Llangyfelach School to provide forest school for the villages young people.

It’s £5 per month, with 3 prizes, 20%, 10% and 5% of the total monthly income that month.

As the saying goes “every little helps” can we trouble you for any blue tokens you have when you visit Tesco’s.

Please ask anyone you know to help out, we try and keep our camps as cheap as possible to make sure everyone can be involved, with rising costs all around, making progress with this makes a massive difference to our young people.

Oh, it’s been busy busy at the scout hall over the winter, just a little update.

Huge thanks to the guys at RWE and their Mynydd y Gwair community fund, we’ve been able to get a fantastic outdoor space, affectionately called “the Bungalow”.

Whilst we still have a bit of work to go finishing the area around it, we now have a year round facility to use.

And, it’s not just us, Llangyfelach Primary School are running a forest school to enhance the curriculum for the areas young people.

Here comes the obligatory bit, of anyone has a little time to spare, to help either with the completion of the works, or the ongoing maintenance, please drop us a message.

Also, any other local community groups who would like to work with us to benefit the local community, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
