We do not benefit from the food baskets in shops so we rely on donations from the public. There are a number of ways you can help us. You can donate food on a Tuesday between 1-3pm. You can order something from our amazon wish list or you can pay into our SOS Shelter Wales bank account. Every donation big or small will be a big help. Here is a link for our amazon wishlist:

We would politely ask at this time ask if only people from the following areas attend our bank:
Pontlliw
Gowerton
Penllergaer
Loughor
Penyrheol
Gorseinon
Grovesend
Waunarlwydd
This is to ensure that we are focusing our resources on our local areas. Important
a need to bring a letter with proof and name and address must Be Shown


There are also some other things that we do:


We provide house hold items, clothing and furniture to people in need. If we have requested items in Stock or if we don't have them in Stock we can put a shout out on our page. We welcome and encourage people to fundraise for us or help us by volunteering at our food bank or collecting donations from the local community and/or businesses. We have a SOS Shelters community bank account in place as well as a PayPal account for donations. Our email is [email protected]

Questions we get asked

1. Do we charge to pick up donations? No

2. Do we deliver No Due To Costs

No we do not deliver parcels due to the cost of petrol rising.

3. Do we charge our clients / vulnerable for items we that have been donated? No

4. What items do we accept? At the moment we are only taking food and toiletries donations.

There will be a car boot sale on Sunday, hosted by the Canolfan Gorseinon Centre official but managed by SOS Shelters WALES. The doors open at 12 for set up and 1pm for food share. See SOS Shelters WALES for all details. The centre is not organising the event but providing the facility in support of tackling food poverty in the community. Contact SOS Shelters WALES if you have any questions at all about the event.
