Could your unwanted furniture help someone else? 🏡

SKylight’s Furniture Recycling Project collects good-quality furniture and electrical white goods and donates them to individuals and families across Stockport.

In 2025/26 alone, the project helped 366 families and diverted 78.8 tonnes from landfill. ♻️

If you have good-quality furniture you no longer need, it could be given a new home and make a real difference locally.

Looking for support to take your next step into employment, training or volunteering?

Skylight’s Social Supermarket supports men aged 18–65 in Stockport who are out of work or in insecure employment.

The programme offers one-to-one support, confidence building, access to training and education, employment advice and health and wellbeing support.

One customer shared their experience:

💬“This service has been great. I have gotten access to things I did not even know about in Stockport. Alice has been great, and I feel supported in everything I have raised. I am working with services to help me closer to volunteering and have been supported with training with Stockport Homes too, which will be great to add to my CV.”

A day by the sea was on the agenda for around 20 members of the Cultures Together Group, who headed to Llandudno and were lucky enough to enjoy plenty of sunshine! 🌊

Some enjoyed a walk along the sea front and visited the Victorian shopping arcades, whereas others took to the skies on the famous cable car. 🚠
