The impact of OmniMusic’s sessions extend far beyond the wonderful music we make with our participants.

Our partners report improvements in pupils' confidence, wellbeing, emotional regulation, social and communications skills, engagement in sessions, dysregulation and more.

Music can be such a powerful tool for everyone to access calm and joy, but for those with the least autonomy in their daily lives, being able to make music and communicate through creativity is especially impactful.

Businesses, ballgowns, black tie and bubbly🍾, all held in one of Stockport’s most iconic buildings, the Pyramid. What a night! Our CEO, EJ Trivett, Programmes Director Molly Graham and Trustee Tom Northey had a great time at the stockportbusinessawards ceremony last night.

While we didn’t win the award on the night, we’re so proud to have been named finalists in the Best Non-Profit in such great company.

Having an evening to celebrate and meet other Stockport businesses felt like a win in itself!

Massive congratulations to Stockport Advocacy on a very worthy win for their work empowering and supporting people who may be marginalised or vulnerable and helping them to be heard.

Congratulations also to our fellow finalists, Self Care Creatives , who do such powerful work using creativity to improve wellbeing and build stronger communities.

We want to thank all of our funders and partners for their support, and extra special thanks to The Fore , whose belief in us at the start made it possible for us to be in this room as a proud, strong Stockport business.

Yesterday our CEO EJ Trivett and Programme Director Molly Graham attended an online event run by Music Mark .

Christopher Stevens, Ofsted’s HMI National Lead for Music, updated us on their new enrichment framework and what this means for music in schools.

The enrichment framework is a supplementary, non-statutory model to help schools create a better music offer.

The session set out the framework's ambitions to make music a part of the fabric of the school and helping children to think more musically and be more musical.

In our residencies, we support a music culture across school, and we hope to support schools in this new Ofsted framework.

We’re thrilled to announce that we have been awarded funding by the National Lottery Community Fund!

We’re so grateful for this continued funding, which will help us to bring the joy of music to Disabled people with our accessible music programmes.

Yesterday was our practitioner training and planning session at Merseyway Innovation Centre.

We don’t often have the team and practitioners together in person so it was lovely to catch up and to have a brainstorming session!

We went over essentials such as safeguarding and procedures, and then had collaborative planning for sessions ahead.

Next week we’ll be back in our partner schools to start the new academic year and we’re so excited to get started.

We hope you’ve had a really restful summer. Here at OmniMusic we’ve been busy behind the scenes and we’re really excited to announce some amazing funding news!

We’re thrilled to have been awarded multi-year funding from Paul Hamlyn Foundation as part of their Arts-Based Learning Fund.

We’re so grateful for the generous support. We're particularly proud to have been selected for the Arts-Based Learning Fund, because it will allow us to not only reach more Disabled children and young people with our work, but importantly to deepen our learning and research within our schools programme.

With this fund, Paul Hamlyn Foundation ‘envision a more equitable school system where high-quality arts-based learning is a core part of all children’s education.’

As part of our funded work, we will expand and deepen partnerships within schools, embedding expertise with staff, creating a legacy which will remain even when we are not in the classroom.

OmniMusic’s Learning Programme is designed to make music education truly inclusive. We believe that everyone has a right to take part in culture and music.

The Government’s National Plan for Music Education states that music must be accessible to all children and young people, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

OmniMusic plays a crucial role in supporting our partner schools to meet this ambition, ensuring no child is left out of music education. We do this in many ways, including:

- Access quality music provision

We offer adaptive and accessible instruments and provide inclusive musical content. This ensures all students, regardless of physical or cognitive barriers, can make music.

- Cognitive and social development

Participants collaborate with each other in sessions, encouraging communication, turn-taking and shared creativity. This builds confidence, strengthens peer relationships and promotes emotional expression.

- Collaboration

We work together with school staff and participants to develop bespoke music strategies tailored to each school’s needs. Practitioners partner with therapists and SENDCos to align sessions with wider developmental goals.

- Training and resources

OmniMusic offers SEND-focused CPD and training tailored for educators, to build confidence and skills.

With OmniMusic, schools aren’t just meeting the NPME vision, they’re creating joyful, life-changing musical experiences for every child.
