🩷⚽ £1,000 raised for Dementia Disco at a fantastic Sportsman’s Dinner! 🪩
What a brilliant evening at Ladybridge Park Residents Club in Cheadle Hulme!
With 125 guests in the room, the night brought together football stories, comedy, fine dining, auctions and raffles, all in support of Dementia Disco.
Guests enjoyed hearing from former Southampton footballer Matt Le Tissier, who shared stories from his playing career and time as a Sky Sports pundit, alongside comedian John Stiles. Local entertainer Andy Powell kept the evening flowing as compère and auctioneer.
It was especially memorable for Yvie Warne, one of our disco-goers and a lifelong Southampton fan, who got to meet her football hero!
Yvie summed up the evening perfectly:
“Oh what a fun night!! Entertained by a host of celebrities and meeting our footy legend. Auctions, raffles, food and drink plus lots of funds raised to the most wonderful and deserving charity Dementia Disco.” 🩵
The generosity didn't stop there! As Phil Bostock, co-founder and trustee of Dementia Disco, explained, the auction saw sports memorabilia attract even higher bids, with John Stiles generously bringing along some of his own signed prints as surprise auction lots.
Peter Brickenden, trustee of Ladybridge Park Residents Club, confirmed that the evening raised an amazing £1,000 for Dementia Disco.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Ladybridge Park Residents Club, the guest speakers, organisers, donors and all 125 guests who made this possible. We're so grateful for your continued support! 🩵
Every contribution helps us continue using music and dance to bring joy, connection and meaningful moments to people living with dementia.
