House of Lords debate on their report about the Autism Act 2009

You may recall that the House of Lords published a report in February 2026 following a long period of evidence gathering the end of 2025. There will be a debate on this report on Wednesday 10th June. Details and links are below

Dear all,
Thank you for your contribution to the work of the House of Lords Committee on the Autism Act 2009. I am emailing to let you know that the House of Lords debate on the Committee’s report, Time to deliver: The Autism Act 2009 and the new autism strategy will take place on Wednesday 10 June. Timings are approximate, but the debate is expected to start at around 3:50pm and may last up to 2 hours 30 minutes.

The Committee Chair, Baroness Rock, will begin the debate. Members of the Committee, and other members of the House of Lords, will then speak in turn. The debate finishes with speeches by representatives of the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives, and then by Baroness Merron, Minister in the Department of Health and Social Care, representing the Government. Baroness Rock will then make a short concluding speech.

The current list of speakers for the debate can be found here. Other speakers may join the list, which will be finalised on the day of the debate.

You can watch the debate online at https://www.parliamentlive.tv/Guide. It is also possible to watch the debate in-person.
