What does financial coaching involve? Step one: put out the fires.

Getting your money in order often means tackling crises and dealing with the most urgent issues in front of you.

That might mean getting your debts under control, or dealing with a legal issue, or solving a family dispute.

Maybe you need to address a substance addiction, find mental health support, or get out of a dangerous situation.

For some people, it means finding safe housing or pulling together enough income to cover the basics.
