Last week, we met with Paul from Direct Packaging Solutions to discuss how we can work together to create more employment opportunities for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness across Greater Manchester.

It was great to hear Paul's enthusiasm and commitment to supporting the people we work with. As part of this new partnership, Direct Packaging Solutions will keep EGG informed of upcoming vacancies within their warehouse operations, helping us connect individuals with potential employment opportunities.

Employment can be life-changing, offering more than just an income. It can provide confidence, routine, purpose and the stability needed to move towards independence.

Experiencing homelessness can have a significant impact on someone’s mental health. At the same time, mental health challenges can make it harder to maintain housing, employment and stability.

That’s why, at EGG, we look at the whole picture.

Our support is shaped around each individual, understanding the barriers they’re facing and helping them take the next steps towards housing, employment and greater stability.

This World Homeless Day, we’re highlighting the support available to people experiencing homelessness, and those at risk of homelessness.

Every day, EGG works with people across Greater Manchester, providing individual support to help them access housing, overcome barriers and move towards employment.

A huge thank you to and all their customers for supporting EGG. 💙

Their contactless donation terminal has been giving customers an easy way to support our work, and the response has been incredible.

Every tap helps us support people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness as they move towards secure housing, employment and greater independence.

Yesterday, Sarah and Cassidy visited one of our clients who has recently moved into Embassy Village.

It was great to see them settling in and to learn more about the support available at Embassy. We received such a warm welcome from the team and found that our approaches have a lot in common, particularly a shared belief in giving people a hand up, not a handout.

EGG will continue to be part of our client’s journey, with Sarah checking in and working alongside the Embassy team to provide wrap-around support.

Now they have a settled base, conversations are already beginning around employment support and their next steps.

By hosting one of our donation terminals in their coffee house, 393 people made a donation, raising an incredible £1,933 to support people experiencing homelessness.

It’s a brilliant example of how small donations can add up to make a real difference.

A great day at the Stockport Volunteer Fair yesterday!

It was brilliant to meet so many people from across the local community, share more about the work we do at EGG and chat about the different ways people can get involved and support our mission.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, and to the organisers for bringing together so many fantastic organisations and volunteers from across Stockport.

What a day at Krazy Races Stockport! 🏁

Back in July, the brilliant team at HURST Accountants took on Krazy Races, raising an amazing £820 for EGG in the process. 💛
