Scottish Community Drama Association encourages the development of theatre arts in the volunteer led sector.

If you are a youth group looking for great new plays with surrounding support this is your reminder that you can still take part in Positive Stories for Negative Times Season 5.

You can explore the plays and find out more about the writers on their website. Follow the sign up button in the Perform in Your Community section to register. You have until 31 October 2027 to get involved.

If you have any questions they would be happy to hear from you and talk you through the application and process. We know from personal experience what a great bunch of people they are and every SCDA club that has been involved in previous Seasons have had a great time.

Positive Stories for Negative Times is an international participatory project by Wonder Fools in association with the Traverse Theatre.

It's not long until our Centenary Gala Weekend at the Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry.

Ranging from our Friday night entertainment (including a rehearsed performance of "Campbell of Kilmhor", winner of the very first Scottish One-Act Play Festival in 1927) to our Saturday extravaganza, all starting with our AGM (which we would encourage as many of you to attend as possible) and culminating with a sensational Gala Dinner in the evening (and even more excitement in between), it's sure to be a weekend to remember and one not to be missed.
