Hello Hello!🌟

Reminder that our EGM is next week at 6pm @ Spoons. A couple of positions have opened up in our committee and with this post you will be able to learn more about each role. Even if you haven’t been involved with STAR much in the past, we highly encourage you to nominate yourself or someone anyways! If you care about human rights, it’s a great way to connect to likeminded people and learn more about the rights of refugees. The deadline for this will be Friday 22nd at 12pm. Feel free to bring a pal for the social after at 7pm - the more the merrier!!!

We are very happy to be a part of the Stirling Climate Festival, put together by !

Come along for an Educational on the Challenges of Climate Change in Relation to Migration and the Importance of Environmental Justice with Jamie McDiarmid as the speaker. This will be in LT 2B4 at 6pm on Monday, the 7th of October.

There is also an option to join online, sign up through the link in bio to join us remotely :)

You've been invited to STAR's freshers events!

Upcoming week we have organised two socials for you to take part in.

Monday 16/09 11am Coffee: get to know the committee and the members of STAR over coffee. If you send us a DM to sign up for the social, you even get the chance to win a free coffee on us!

On Tuesday 17/09 6pm we are holding a movie night. We are screening "The Swimmers", a film about two Syrian refugees who swam for hours in the Mediterranean sea to flee. Feel free to bring any snacks/friend/blankets.

We are delighted to announce the launch of the CREATE CHANGE event. The societies, STAR, , .poets, , , , , , and .justice.stirling are collaborating on a common project: fighting social and environmental injustices through art.
This event is divided into four parts, and we sincerely hope that you will join us in CREATE CHANGE. We truly believe that change can only be achieved if we come together. We hope you will inspire us with your magnificent artistic talents.

Learn about the challenges that we face with climate change in relation to migration and why environmental justice is so important.

This will be hosted by our very own treasurer, Jamie!
