We are inviting survivors of sexual violence to come to a Macrame Workshop to create a collaborative art piece which will be displayed at The Smith Art Gallery & Museum during 16 Days of Activism at the end of the year.

It'll be delivered by the lovely Grace from A Moment Entwine

📆 The workshop will take place over two consecutive Thursdays: 24th September and 1st October, at the Re-use Hub in Stirling

You can attend at a time that suits you, for as long as you like:
Full Day: 10:00 – 16:00
Morning: 10:00 - 12:30
Afternoon: 13:30 – 16:00

For over 5 years, Chloe Wooldrage has been sharing anonymous accounts of sexual assault from individuals in Orkney. Her goal is to dispel the myth that such crimes don't occur in rural island communities.

Chloe's campaign started in December 2020 with an Instagram post titled Story 1, which detailed the experience of someone whose intimate photos were distributed at school without their permission.

Since then, more than 170 stories of abuse, assault, and r**e in Orkney have been featured on the Instagram account, .

ORSAS has an exhibition featuring a small selection of these stories in his Equality Hub space.

For ten years, Forth Valley R**e Crisis has been a safe place survivors could turn to.

In that decade our organisation has grown into a vital source of survivor-centred emotional support, advocacy, and community action across Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire.

Our fundraising efforts this year are to ensure we can sustain this work for the next decade, because no survivor should have to cope with sexual violence alone.

You can nominate us to be entered into 2 draws later this year with a chance to win £1000 each time.

£1000 can make a huge difference as it is equal to:

- 10 ring doorbells to give to survivors with safety concerns
- travel expenses for over 100 survivors to attend our centre
- the cost of materials for 5 arts & crafts workshops for survivors

Applications to Clare’s Law in Scotland have more than doubled in the last three years.

A recent news article highlights the growing number of people using the Disclosure Scheme for Domestic Abuse Scotland (Clare’s Law) to find out whether a current or former partner has a known history of domestic abuse.

The article also shares the experience of a survivor who believes the information she received through the scheme helped her recognise the risk she was facing and make decisions about her safety.

Clare’s Law allows:
💜 Right to Ask – You can apply to find out if your current or former partner has a history of domestic abuse.
💜 Right to Know – Police Scotland can proactively share information if they believe someone may be at risk.

Knowledge can be an important part of staying safe. If you’re worried about your own relationship or someone else’s, you don’t have to face it alone.

North Ayrshire Women’s Aid is here to provide confidential, non-judgemental support.
