70 YEARS. ONE NEW CHAPTER.
A landmark day for Pangbourne Rowing as we broke ground on our new Boathouse on the banks of the River Thames.

From the legendary 1963 crew to Old Pangbournian Olympians and today’s rowers, generations of Pangbournians came together to celebrate the past and look to the future.

Made possible by the extraordinary generosity of our community, the £2.1m new Boathouse opens later in 2027.

70 years of rowing. The next chapter starts here.

Thank you, OPs!

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the 2026 OP Survey - it is enormously appreciated. From recent leavers to our most senior OPs, every generation has shared their perspectives and helped shape the future programme.

The initial analysis shows stellar levels of OP engagement:

📝 *300+* fully completed surveys
🤝 *200+* OPs volunteered and shared their details to get involved, nearly double 2024 numbers
👩‍🎓 Highest female response ever

In the coming weeks we will be in touch with everyone who indicated an interest in becoming involved.

The full summary of the findings, including the perspectives and preferences across decades, will be shared in the next newsletter, landing *Thursday 15 October*.

25/09/2026

*Final reminder* - the 2026 OP Survey closes on Sunday 27th September at 6pm.

Please take a minute to share your thoughts and inform future plans - we’d love to hear from as many OPs as possible.
