A huge congratulations to Marley, aged 7, who has been crowned the winner of our 70th Anniversary Birthday Card Design Competition! 🎨🏆
We absolutely loved Marley’s colourful design, which beautifully captures the spirit of Beale Wildlife Park! 💛

Even more excitingly, Marley’s winning design will be turned into a permanent display here at the park, becoming a lasting part of our 70th anniversary celebrations! 🦚✨

We’d also like to say a massive well done to our other two fantastic finalists, Alex, aged 14, and Florence, aged 2! 🌟

To celebrate Beale Park’s 70th anniversary, we invited some budding young artists to design a special birthday card – and what amazing entries we received! 💛

🌿 HAPPY WORLD LEMUR DAY! 🌍💚

We’re going a little lemur crazy today as we celebrate World Lemur Day! 🎉

Here at Beale Wildlife Park, we’re lucky enough to be home to three types of lemur: Ring-Tailed Lemurs, Black-and-White Ruffed Lemurs and Hybrid Lemurs! 💚

Did you know? 👀 Lemurs are native to Madagascar, and sadly, many species are threatened with extinction due to habitat loss and other pressures.

World Lemur Day is all about celebrating these incredible animals and raising awareness of the importance of protecting them and their natural habitats. 🌍💚

🐾🍂 The Prairie Dog Half Term Get-Together! 🍂🐾

Looks like our prairie dogs have called a very important family meeting just in time for October half term! 🥰

Did you know that prairie dogs are incredibly social animals? In the wild, they live in large underground communities called towns, made up of smaller family groups known as coteries. They spend lots of time together, grooming, communicating and keeping an eye out for danger. 🐾

They even have their own special alarm calls to warn each other when a predator is nearby! 📣

Our little gang certainly looks like they’ve got plenty to catch up on! ❤️
