A HUGE well done to everyone who took part in Sunday's Marlow Half Marathon, The Frankenstein & Marlow 7! 💙

It was brilliant to be there and be part of such a fantastic day!

Being voted one of Marlow Striders good causes made it extra special for us.

The support will make a real difference to young people here in Marlow, creating more opportunities to make friends, try new things and find somewhere to belong.

But it's more than the fundraising. Being chosen by people in our own town is a real vote of confidence in what we're doing. And it sends such a positive message to local young people about how much support there is for them and how many people want to get behind them.

We came away feeling pretty inspired ourselves! The runners, the volunteers, the encouragement and all those lovely conversations along the way.

A huge thank you to Marlow Striders for choosing us, and to everyone who made Sunday happen.

Rain outside, plenty of imagination inside! 🎃

Monday's 3D printing session brought together young people who'd never tried it before and others who already had some experience.

We had a few Halloween designs to get things started. Some followed those, others went off in completely different directions.

One young person even decided to design a 3D printer. Yes, a 3D printer! How brilliant is that? 😄

What we loved was seeing everyone get stuck in, bringing their own ideas and finding their own way of doing things.

Not a bad way to spend a rainy Monday in Marlow Marlow Youth & Community Centre ! 💙

BMX Champion Experience

A live stunt display from BMX champion Mike Mullen, followed by a chance for young people to try BMX themselves. Bikes provided!

Every session includes time to enjoy the youth centre too, with pool, air hockey, gaming and space to hang out.

Our Halloween 3D Printing session is already fully booked, and some of the others have just a few places left, so it's worth booking soon!

£15 per young person, per session.

And if it's their first time joining us, they're very welcome. New faces are always lovely to see!

It started with LEGO.

A small Saturday group for neurodivergent young people.

Now Saturday Space includes LEGO Robotics, art, 3D printing and Minecraft. The activities have grown, but the thinking behind them hasn’t changed: begin with an interest, make room for each young person to take part in their own way, and let connection grow from there.

Some get stuck straight in. Some watch first. Some work quietly alongside others. There is no one right way to belong.

Saturday Space is back.

And quite a lot has been built since those first LEGO sessions—not all of it from bricks.

Kindness is often talked about as something small.

Saturday was a reminder that it can also look like bringing a whole community together.

Yasmin from Wycombe Youth Action puts a huge amount into making the Mental Health & Wellbeing Day happen each year. It is held in memory of a young person whose life was lost far too soon.

Under the Guildhall, people made things, had conversations, met local organisations and found out what support is around them.

This is part of youth work too. Not only the sessions we run, but showing up, listening, knowing who else is out there and helping people find their way.

Thank you to Yasmin, Wycombe Youth Action, High Wycombe Community Board and all the organisations who made the day what it was.

We were really glad to be there.

3D printing has found a home at BFT.

It will mainly be part of Saturday Space, our small, neuroinclusive Saturday groups for ages 8–16, but we’ll use it in other sessions too.

Having the kit is one thing. What young people do with it is the good bit.

We’re looking for two volunteer Youth Support Assistants across Bucks and surrounding areas.

Experience with young people? Brilliant. New to it? That’s fine too — we’ll help you learn.

What matters most is enjoying their company, being ready to listen and wanting to get involved.

Flexible roles, support and training, plus the opportunity for a fully funded Level 2 youth work qualification. Being able to drive would be helpful.

We often talk about the hours spent delivering youth work.

But there are other hours, behind the scenes, that people rarely see.

Sorting LEGO back into kits. Checking laptops and equipment. Reorganising rooms. Planning together. Working out what needs to happen next.

They are the hours that make the visible ones possible.

Because when young people arrive, being ready means our time, attention and energy can be where they belong—with them.

Fancy doing something that makes a bit of a difference?

We’re looking for two volunteer Youth Support Assistants to come and get involved with us at BFT in Marlow.

These are voluntary roles, designed to be flexible and fit around work, family and whatever else life happens to throw at you.

If you’ve already got experience working with young people, brilliant. If you haven’t, that’s absolutely fine too — we can teach you that bit.

What matters most to us is finding the right people. People who enjoy spending time with young people, are happy to muck in and fancy being part of what we do.

We’ll give you plenty of support and training along the way. And if you fancy taking things a bit further, there’s also the opportunity for a fully funded place on our nationally recognised Level 2 Award in Youth Work Principles.

⚠️ Marlow Community Engagement Event ⚠️

In response to a rise in Anti-social behaviour incidents in Marlow, specifically in the Donkeyfields, Gunthorpe Road Area and Elliot Drive/Wallace Close the Marlow Neighbourhood team and community partners are hosting a meeting at Liston Hall Marlow at 18:30hrs on Thursday 6th August 2026, the event space is currently open from 18:30-21:30. It will be a chance for us to give you an update on the actions taken but also answer questions. There will also be further drop ins in the coming weeks if you cannot make this meeting. We look forward to hopefully seeing you there.
