We are delighted to introduce Linnéa Duckworth (.duckworth) as one of the guest facilitators joining us for the upcoming SOIL Wider Community Gathering at Braziers Park (22-25 May) 🌿

On Monday morning through to lunchtime, Linnéa will lead a relaxed, hands-on natural dyeing workshop using foraged and heritage plant materials, including plants gathered from the Braziers grounds. Participants will create a series of naturally dyed fabric swatches while exploring colour, tone, transformation, and seasonal rhythms through quiet making and observation.

Rooted in practices spanning textiles, dance, draping, and immersive performance, Linnéa’s work invites a slower and more attentive relationship with landscape, material, and time ✨

Part of our wider SOIL gathering (22–25 May), this workshop sits within a nourishing bank holiday weekend of shared meals, gardening, foraging, films, bonfires, conversations, and time spent reconnecting with the land.

Limited residential places remain, alongside camping and day ticket options. The full programme is available on our website or via the link in our Instagram bio 🌱

We are very excited to welcome Stephanie Wehowski (Mothermouth Medicine) as one of our wonderful guest facilitators for the upcoming SOIL Wider Community Gathering at Braziers Park, 22-25 May 2026 🌿

On Sunday 24th May, Stephanie will offer two plant-centred sessions rooted in herbalism, embodied knowledge, and community learning.

Her guided tea meditation invites participants into a sensory exploration of herbs through a blind tea tasting experience, encouraging reflection, grounding, and connection through taste, observation, and shared experience. Later in the day, Stephanie will lead a practical “How to Make” session focused on creating a late spring apple cider vinegar tonic using foraged seasonal plants gathered from the land 🌱

Stephanie is a medical herbalist whose practice centres on reconnecting people with their innate knowledge, healing journeys, and relationships with plant and fungi beings 🍄🦠

These sessions form part of our wider SOIL gathering (22–25 May): a restorative bank holiday weekend of workshops, communal meals, gardening, films, bonfires, nature connection, and shared time together 💚

Limited residential places remain, alongside camping and day ticket options. Full programme via the link in our bio ✨

🌿 OPEN CALL: ACRE Residents at Braziers Park 2026-27

Braziers Park is inviting applications for our ACRE (Academic and Creative Research) residency programme.

For this open call, we are welcoming up to 12 ACRE residents between 1 December 2026 and 8 March 2027. Residencies may be proposed for any period within these dates, with the possibility of extension on request, depending on room availability and community capacity.

We welcome artists, researchers, writers, and thinkers who are curious about exploring ideas through communal living and shared enquiry.

Founded as a living laboratory for exploring relationships – both interpersonal and ecological – Braziers offers a unique setting to test ideas, develop work, and learn from community life.

Residents become part of a vibrant network of community members, volunteers, researchers, and visitors, offering opportunities for peer exchange, collaboration, and presenting new work.

As an ACRE resident you can:

– Experience communal living
– Develop your research or creative practice
– Share ideas through workshops, talks, and community events
– Access Braziers’ library, gardens, woodlands, and performance spaces
– Engage with a network of independent thinkers and researchers

If you are interested in exploring new ways of living, thinking, and creating within a community context, we would love to hear from you!

There is no fixed deadline for applications; however, we encourage early submission, as the open call will close once we have identified 12 suitable candidates.

✨The Art of Soul Flight: An Introduction to Shamanism, 6-7 June 2026 at Braziers Park

Join us in June for a two-day introduction to shamanism and shamanic journeying with Hayley Trezise, exploring practices that can support reflection, healing, connection, and everyday guidance.

Across the weekend, participants will be introduced to the basic principles of shamanic practice and the essential tool of journeying – learning how to enter non-ordinary reality, work in partnership with spirit, and deepen connection to the living world around us.

Through guided practice, teaching, and shared experience, the course will explore:

🌿 shamanic journeying
🌿 the power of drum and rattle
🌿 healing and divination
🌿 community healing
🌿 connection to spirit, nature, and self

The event is led by Hayley Trezise, a shamanic practitioner, teacher, artist, sweat lodge leader, and movement practitioner. Her work creates a safe and held space for deep journeying, healing, and transformation, grounded in a belief that everything is alive and interconnected.

Join us for the Braziers Glaister Lecture 2026 🌿

On Sunday 10th May, 11am–1pm, we warmly invite you to Braziers Park for our annual Glaister Lecture – a public talk and shared space for reflection, discussion, and connection.

Continuing Norman Glaister’s inquiry into community, consciousness, and collective living, the lecture offers a thoughtful and human exploration of the relationship between individual experience, community life, and wider society.

This year’s speaker is Dr Lisa Silver, one of Oxfordshire’s longest-serving GPs, whose work offers a deeply grounded perspective on loneliness, stress, resilience, and connection in modern life.

The lecture will be followed by an optional homemade lunch, with time for informal conversation and meeting the Braziers community.
