Thank you to everybody involved with our Autumn Concours event at Bowood House in Wiltshire – it was a fabulous weekend with a great turnout of Concours entries and display cars.

Members enjoyed a Ch*****ne Reception and Dinner on the Saturday evening and, of course, the Concours on the Sunday.

The weather was mostly kind to us, although there was a great downpour of rain just when the ch*****ne was being poured and enjoyed by our Members at Sunday's "Ch*****ne Moment". We were delighted to have Lord Kerry present, owner of Bowood House, to present some prizes as well as representatives from AML and Aston Martin Works.

Thanks to all our Members who joined us and made this event so special as well as our hard-working events team and everybody else from HQ. Special thanks to the lovely volunteers who help us at these events - from unpacking and packing the van, setting up the shop and marquee, parking the cars, managing and judging the Concours, to taking photos and handing out the ch*****ne. There are so many people involved and we would like to sincerely thank everybody - we could not do it without you!

Aston Martins turn heads at Salon Privé, Blenheim Palace.

Around 100 Aston Martins were parked on a prime spot just outside the Great Court of Sir Winston Churchill's birthplace, glorious sunshine beautifully highlighting the paintwork on a wide range of models covering at least 70 decades of the marque.

It was a difficult task to select five of these beauties to go through to the next stage of the Lockton Performance Car Club Concours, but the following cars were selected, for a range of reasons:
• a lovingly restored 1954 DB2/4 Mk1, with some very special features
• a 1979 V8 Volante
• a 2018 Gen 2 Vanquish S Coupé
• a 2019 Vantage CEO edition by Q
• a 2025 DB12

The owners were presented with a bottle of ch*****ne.

After much deliberation, the golden brown V8 Volante was selected to go through to the final, held on the Palace's south lawn. It was a close call, but the fact that this car was driven by Sir Stirling Moss and has a signature on the petrol cap to prove it, was the deciding factor. It was great to see the car on the main stage.

Bold, striking and impossible to ignore. This year, our Best Car Club Award by Classic & Sports Car, went to a magnificent 1983 Aston Martin Lagonda.

Designed by William Towns, the Lagonda was a genuine technological showcase in its day, with LED digital instruments and touch-sensitive switches. This example is especially significant, built for the 1983 Geneva Motor Show with an extraordinary specification including a TV, Betamax player, Clarion stereo and a crystal-glass bar.

Its 5.3-litre V8 produces 280bhp, and while the body has been beautifully restored, the original interior has been lovingly preserved.

A huge thank you to all our owners who participated this year.

'Simply Aston' did not disappoint!

On the 23rd August hundreds of Aston Martin models from up and down the country descended on the picturesque National Motor Museum for their annual Aston gathering.

A big thank you to everyone who organised the day and made it possible and to the owners who made the trip and spent the day in wonderful company. We are already counting down the days to next years event so if you’re considering coming along, we would love to see you and welcome you into the world of Aston Martin.
