Mercy When Insulted

It’s easy to be gentle when people are gentle with us.

The real test of our character is how we respond when someone hurts us, insults us or speaks to us harshly.

Our beloved Prophet ﷺ taught us not to answer harshness with more harshness, but to remain composed and respond with gentleness.

Today’s challenge:
If someone annoys you, speaks badly to you or sends you a message you don’t like — don’t react immediately.

Pause.
Control your words.
And respond in a way that would please Allah.

Sometimes the strongest response is not the harshest one — it is the most merciful one. ❤️

May Allah give us patience when we are tested and beautify our character with gentleness. Ameen. 🤲
