Thank you so much Delicious Ideas Food Group for your help and support 🙏

Yesterday, four members of the DIFG family gave their time to something that matters in the local community.

Nel (Interim People Lead), Jonathan (CEO & Founder), Katie (Data Analyst), and Nick (Warehouse Operative) spent the day volunteering with Peterborough Soup Kitchen, UK, a local fully volunteer-run charity serving Peterborough's homeless and disadvantaged community every single day of the year.

🥪Loaves of bread turned into sandwiches.
🥘Litres of soup warmed and served.
☕Crisps, homemade flapjacks, and more teas and coffees than anyone could count (courtesy of Nick!). We were also happy to contribute with our very own DIFG traybakes!

Over 80 people fed. People who had nothing else.
Meaningful. Life-affirming. Humbling.
As always - community and family at the heart of all we do! And we'll be back!

Peterborough Soup Kitchen is looking for friendly, committed people to join our volunteer team — and we’d love to have you with us! 💙🍲

We especially need help on:
👉 Wednesdays (once every four weeks) — 18:00 to 21:30
👉 Saturdays AND Sundays (once every four weeks) — 10:00 to 14:00

Whether you’ve volunteered before or you’re brand new, your support makes a real difference in our community. 🌍❤️

🚐 Bonus: If you’re able to drive our service van, that’s a huge plus!

🙏 Today we were delighted to receive a wonderful donation of hot chocolate and sweet treats from the Adult Early Help Team at Peterborough Ciy Council.

The team won an award and chose to donate their prize to buying something all our clients love on a cold wet winters night.

🎄 A Christmas Update from Peterborough Soup Kitchen 🎄

As we head into the festive season, we want to give a huge thank-you to our amazing community. Many people kindly reach out asking how they can support us on Christmas Day — and we’re so grateful! ❤️

This year (and every year), our incredible year-round volunteers already have Christmas Day fully covered, so we do not need additional help on the day itself.

👉 Please note: On Christmas Day only, our serving time will be 12:00–13:00.
All other serving times throughout December and beyond remain unchanged.

We do continue to rely on the generosity of our community, and we are currently in need of donations to keep supporting people this winter and throughout the year.

We prepare soup, sandwiches, hot food, plus hot & cold drinks in our kitchen. These are taken by our adapted mobile serving van. We currently serve from Dickens Street Car Park, Peterborough PE1 5EA.
