💜 A Hot Meal, A Warm Welcome & A Caring Community

It was lovely to spend time at CityLinks Peterborough, helping to serve hot lunches and, most importantly, sharing a little kindness and conversation with everyone who came along.

A huge thank you to my dear friend Gintare Karin for Peterborough for organising today and for the care and effort she continually puts into supporting people in our community. 💜

Sometimes something as simple as a hot meal, a friendly face and knowing that somebody cares can make a real difference.
It was genuinely lovely to see you all today. Thank you for having us, and we look forward to being back again soon. ❤️

🌈💙 EVERY CHILD MATTERS – and every child belongs! 💙🌈

I am incredibly excited for this very special event for residents of the PE4 area, taking place this Saturday, 5th September, from 1pm–5pm at Gunthorpe & Paston Community Centre.

The event has been created with a particular focus on children with disabilities and additional needs, while warmly welcoming ALL children and families from our PE4 communities. ❤️

We have tried to think carefully about different children's needs, providing a quiet arts & crafts room, sensory room and visual communication symbols, alongside plenty of fun:
🎨 Arts & crafts
🌈 Sensory room
🏰 Bouncy castles
🎯 Games
🎨 Face painting & glitter tattoos
⚽ Football coach
🥋 Judo coach
🐥 Little chickens
🍴 Kaimas Restaurant Village on Wheels
🚻 Toilets & accessible toilets available on site
🍽️ FREE LUNCH FOR EVERY CHILD, including gluten-free and dairy-free options. Food and drinks will also be available for adults to purchase.

Organised by Zi Foundation, with the support of Pride in Place and Cambridgeshire Community Fund.
For us, inclusion isn't about creating a separate world for children with disabilities. It's about creating a community where every child can participate, feel comfortable, have fun and belong.

❤️ Giving back to our community – together.

Another wonderful Friday volunteering alongside the ZI Foundation team at
St John’s Church, Peterborough.

As we do every third Friday of the month, we come together to provide a warm meal and a warm welcome to anyone in our community who needs it.

For us, community is not just about words or promises – it is about showing up, giving our time and looking after one another.

So proud of our little dream team and everyone who gives their time to make these afternoons possible. Seeing a room full of people sharing food, conversation and kindness is a reminder of why we love doing what we do. ❤️

A warm meal may seem like a small gesture, but sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can mean the most.

Love giving back to the community we are so privileged to serve. ❤️

Another fantastic day of giving back to our community! 🙏

Gintarė Karin, together with Dr Banyalieva and our wonderful Zi Foundation team, has been serving freshly prepared hot meals as part of our weekly community food giveaway. 🍲❤️

A very special thank you to Kaimas (Village) Lithuanian Restaurant for their continued generosity, kindness and support in providing meals and helping our community. 🇱🇹🤝

The most rewarding part is seeing the smiles on people’s faces when we serve them. 😊❤️ Dr Banyalieva continues to inspire us with so many wonderful ideas, and by working together as one team, we can continue reaching and supporting more people across our city.

❤️ Community, Care and Connection ❤️

Today, Zi Foundation had the pleasure of visiting the wonderful residents of Catley Court in Paston for a community hot lunch.
A heartfelt thank you to our Community Manager, Gintare Karin and Kaimas Lithuanian Restaurant whose generosity and dedication made this gathering possible. It was lovely to see residents enjoying a warm meal, sharing stories, and spending time together in such a friendly atmosphere.
At Zi Foundation, we believe that building stronger communities starts with simple acts of kindness. Bringing people together, reducing loneliness, and creating opportunities for social connection remains at the heart of what we do.
Thank you to all the residents who joined us today – we thoroughly enjoyed your company and look forward to seeing you again soon.

❤️🍽️ Serving Our Community, One Meal at a Time 🍽️❤️

It was a real pleasure for the Zi Foundation team to spend time with the wonderful residents of Bishopsfield Housing Scheme, providing a freshly prepared hot lunch and enjoying some lovely conversations along the way.

A special thank you goes to our amazing Community Manager, Gintare Karin and Kaimas Lithuanian Restaurant whose generosity, dedication and hard work helped make this visit possible. Gintarė continually goes above and beyond to support local people, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she does for our community.

We would also like to thank the staff and residents of Bishopsfield for their warm welcome. Seeing people come together, share a meal and enjoy each other's company is exactly what community spirit is all about.

This initiative is a natural extension of the work we already carry out each month through our free hot meals programme at St John's Church, where volunteers and supporters come together to help those who may need a little extra support.

At Zi Foundation, we firmly believe that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Whether it is a hot meal, a friendly conversation or simply showing that someone cares, every gesture matters.
