🌍 European Cultural Heritage Festival – Peterborough 🌍

What an incredible celebration of culture, friendship and community in Peterborough. Bringing people together through music, dance, food, traditions and heritage from across Europe, proving that diversity is our strength and unity is our future.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, performed, volunteered and supported this fantastic event. Special thanks to the Zi Foundation and Little Bulgaria UK for partnering together to make this vision a reality and for helping build stronger connections across our communities. The festival was organised to celebrate European cultures and bring communities together in Peterborough.

🌍❤️ Bringing Europe Together in the Heart of Peterborough ❤️🌍

We are proud to invite you to the European Heritage & Cultural Festival – a day dedicated to celebrating the cultures, traditions and communities that make our city so vibrant and diverse.

The festival will begin with a spectacular procession led by traditional Scottish bagpipers, followed by outstanding performances from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania and many more.

From traditional music and dance to delicious international food, cultural displays and family entertainment, this is a celebration of the heritage we cherish and the friendships we build across communities.

At Zi Foundation, we believe that culture has the power to unite people. Together with Little Bulgaria, we are honoured to create an event where people of all backgrounds can come together, learn from one another and celebrate what makes each of us unique.

A huge thank you to Peterborough Positive and The National Lottery Community Fund for supporting this incredible community event.

Today we had a meaningful and inspiring day at Saint Bishop Church in Peterborough, raising awareness about mental health and the importance of community support, kindness, and connection ❤️

Zi Foundation was proud to support local families and individuals by providing hot cooked meals and creating a safe, welcoming environment where people could come together, talk openly, connect, and support one another.

Mental health awareness is so important, and sometimes a warm meal, a conversation, and knowing someone is there to listen can make a real difference. Together, we can help break the stigma surrounding mental health and build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community. ❤️

A special thank you to Michelle for organising such a wonderful event and for your continued support and dedication to the community. We are also incredibly grateful to all the amazing volunteers whose kindness, hard work, and commitment helped make the day such a success 🙏

Our mental health awareness sessions continue to make a positive difference within the community 💙

It has been incredibly inspiring to listen to and support people through our mental health project. Hearing personal stories and seeing individuals leave the sessions feeling more positive, confident, and connected shows just how important these community spaces are.

These sessions are helping people build confidence, reduce isolation, go out more, and form new friendships through community connection and support. It has also been encouraging to see so many others interested in joining future sessions and becoming part of this supportive network.

Creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where people can speak openly and feel heard is essential for improving mental wellbeing within our community.

ZI Foundation and the SMR Mental Health Project remain committed to raising positive awareness around mental health and supporting those who may be struggling. Together, we can help break the stigma surrounding mental health and build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community. 💙
