The preparations for this year’s Christmas dinner Peterborough are well underway but we need your help!

We’re looking to raise money that can be put towards buying gifts for our guests. Our guests are young care leavers ages 18-25 who are spending Christmas Day with us and often it’s their first Christmas since leaving care.

It’s that time of year again! Christmas is only 9 weeks away and preparations for the Christmas Dinner Peterborough are well under way.

We’re kicking things off with introducing you to our steering group of volunteers, who are busy working behind the scenes to bring our young care leavers a fantastic Christmas Day!

We're working away behind the scenes with planning the Christmas Dinner Peterborough 2026, an event that brings together young care leavers aged 18-25 who have no where to spend Christmas.

However, we need your help in order to make Christmas Day as magical and memorable as possible for our guests.

That magic includes the food we serve as well as the gifts we provide and the food hampers we send guests home with.

But we need your help to make all of this happen, by donating as little as £1 you can help us put together a Christmas Day to remember for those who have left care and are unsure what happens next.

Last year's Christmas Dinner Peterborough had good food, jigsaws, table football, gifts to open and plenty of laughter 🎄

We're doing it all again this Christmas Day for care-experienced young people, and we'd love for you to be part of it.

We support young care leavers across the Cambridgeshire region by offering a safe space to celebrate Christmas without spending it alone.

We could not put on this dinner without our amazing volunteers and there are lots of ways you can get involved. Last night we gave a donation of £500 to the Christmas Dinners Peterborough group, lovely people and such a worthy cause. Feel free to check out their fb page to find out what they are about and maybe help or fund raise for them.

So that’s our first donation decided by the Wonky patrons, if you have a good cause etc you want us to help with all you got to do it come down with a team and win one of the three prizes we do. From there there’s a pub vote and if your good cause wins the vote then the week later we do the donation.

Next donation in a couple of weeks, watch this space.
