What if your next team-building activity could strengthen connections and create real social impact at the same time?

At the beam & MIA ESG Summit, CTW Events will lead an interactive Team Building with a Purpose session, showing how collaboration can deliver immediate support to people who need it most.

Working in groups, delegates will assemble hygiene kits, wellness packs and other essential resources using repurposed and recycled materials. Every completed kit will support individuals affected by poverty, homelessness or disaster.

It’s a practical demonstration of social value in action – bringing people together, boosting team morale and creating a positive impact beyond the event itself.

The wider Summit programme follows a People, Planet, Profit framework, giving attendees practical guidance, useful tools and clear actions to take back to their businesses.

Three venues. Three distinctive experiences. One unforgettable evening with the beam community!

Come Dine With Me brought members together across the North, Midlands and the South, and not even one of the hottest days of the year (again!) could dampen the atmosphere.

🍽️ At The Met Hotel Leeds , guests enjoyed fine dining and a taste of Yorkshire hospitality.
☀️ At Crowne Plaza Stratford Upon Avon , the evening featured alfresco dining, fine food and entertainment beside the River Avon.
🚤 At The Lensbury , members took to the water before sitting down to an alfresco dinner in its picturesque riverside setting.

Each venue offered something completely different, but all three delivered what Come Dine With Me is all about: relaxed networking, brilliant hospitality and the opportunity to strengthen connections across the beam community.

We were also delighted to raise just shy of £1,000 across the three events for our chosen charity, Rainbow Trust Children's Charity. A huge thank you to everyone who donated so generously.

How can our industry turn ESG ambition into meaningful action?

Matt Phelan, co-founder of The Happiness Index, will headline the second joint beam and Meetings Industry Association ESG Summit at BMA House on 14 September.

Under the theme People, Planet and Profit, the summit will explore the role of employee happiness, engagement and workplace culture in building responsible, resilient and successful businesses.

Building on last year’s event, the practical programme will also feature expert panels, live benchmarking and specialist breakout sessions - helping delegates assess their ESG progress and leave with clear actions to take forward.

When our industry speaks with one voice, it sends a powerful message.

Following our call for support last week, more than 100 beam members signed the joint industry letter on behalf of their organisations, helping take the total number of signatories to over 200.

The letter calls on the Government to act on the recommendations of the Culture, Media and Sport Committee and give the UK business events sector the recognition and support it deserves.

A huge thank you to every beam member who added their name. Your response demonstrates the strength of our association and what can be achieved when we stand together with the wider industry.

Now we need the Government to listen and act.
