Behind the “I’m fine” are often fathers, stepdads, grandads, partners, and male carers carrying stress, pressure, exhaustion, and worry silently every single day.

At Families Together Suffolk, we know that many men struggle with:
💭 Feeling isolated
💭 The pressure to keep going
💭 Parenting challenges
💭 Anxiety and mental health
💭 Feeling like they have to cope alone

That’s why our dads groupare so important. It creates space for dads and male carers to connect with others, speak openly, feel supported, and build meaningful bonds with their children at the same time 💙

From home-visiting volunteers supporting families through difficult times, to group volunteers creating welcoming spaces for parents and children, retail volunteers raising vital funds in our shops and eBay hub, and Trustees helping guide the future of our charity, every single role makes a difference.

Some volunteers offer a listening ear. Some create connection and community. Some help keep our services running behind the scenes. Together, they help families across Suffolk feel supported, less isolated, and never alone.

What may feel like “just volunteering” to you can mean everything to a family who needs support.

Our Walk & Natter SEND support sessions are a chance to step outside, meet other parents and carers who understand the journey, and take some time for you.

No pressure, no expectations, just fresh air, connection and a welcoming space to chat, listen or simply walk alongside others who get it.
