If a career in the dairy sector when you leave the military interests you, this webinar will be of interest.

Open to currently serving Armed Forces personnel considering a future transition, this session will highlight the wide range of opportunities available within the dairy industry and how your existing skills—such as teamwork, leadership, problem-solving and working outdoors—can transfer directly into this rewarding sector.
Delivered in partnership with Career Transition Partnership Ruralink Veteran HighGround Lowland Reserve Forces' and Cadets' Association and Lantra the programme includes hands-on work experience placements across nine farms, offering practical insight into day-to-day roles.

During the webinar, you’ll also hear from Becca Brown about her journey from the Royal Navy to running her own contract farming business.

This pilot scheme is designed to support serving personnel who may be considering a change, providing a clear pathway into a purposeful and fulfilling career in dairy.

We had a fantastic visit to The Leicestershire Flower Farm last week with our Horticultural Therapy Team

The day gave us the chance to explore how working with cut flowers can be used as part of rehabilitation—supporting physical skills, cognitive focus and psychological wellbeing. From selecting blooms and making living wreaths to sharing ideas for future sessions, it was an inspiring and practical experience.

This visit marks the beginning of a new partnership, and we’re already planning future activities that will build on what we’ve learned. We’re excited about what lies ahead and grateful to Leicestershire Flower Farm for sharing their time, expertise and creativity with us.

A big thank you to the League of Remembrance for funding this exciting new work.
