WC Charity is an initiative by , we believe playfulness is not just an activity. It’s an attitude that shapes how people experience the city.

The WC Charity builds on this thinking by applying design research to public health. Developed in collaboration with , the project reimagines London’s public toilets as a vital civic interface for health, safety, and everyday dignity.

Rather than treating toilets as neglected infrastructure, the charity’s proposes attended, secure, and thoughtfully designed facilities across the capital. These spaces are conceived not only as functional amenities, but as places that support accessibility, wellbeing, and a more humane public realm.

This vision aligns with the commitment to a more accessible high street, demonstrating that when infrastructure is treated with the same care as public art or architecture, it can strengthen community, culture, and public health.

Our students have been making some exciting things at Highgate School for our upcoming Christmas Sale.

‘At Highgate school we try to recycle all of our materials from milk bottles and wrappers to yoghurt pots and project scrap materials. Students from the Harington Scheme have been making great use of scraps of acrylic, recycled polypropylene and plywood to create Eco Christmas’ says Will Hughes- Caley.
